15:00 Dover v Hartlepool

15:00 Eastleigh v Solihull Moors

15:00 Maidenhead v Boreham Wood

15:00 Weymouth v Bromley

15:00 Wrexham v Dag & Red

17:30 Stockport v Yeovil

Not a mega amount of games on Saturday but enough, much like the Weymouth defeat this is absolute must win territory, we can't afford to fuck this up, Nicky Featherstone is gonna be a miss, hopefully Crawford is up to it, Dover stream any good or is it all omelette du fromage?

Anyone know if Alty offered this Saturday to King's Lynn? Seems strange for both to have a blank Saturday and then for us to have to go up there on a Tuesday evening.

I believe our stream is good, but my PC isn't up to much so i haven't tried it
All our points are from home games & the pitch is a pudding, so not a guaranteed away win
it's due to piss down at 3pm too

We wanted to but our pitch is under water and more rain due tonight so there wasnt any point pursuing it,.. your best avoiding playing us now, were on fire:sb:

Wrexham will easily get the 3 points because we’re crap and for that reason I’m out.

Fair enough, having had one wasted trip this week would be silly to arrange another. We are whatever the opposite of 'on fire' is and can't see that changing at any point before the end of the season so when we play you is pretty irrelevant other than trying to avoid a midweek trip

Sensible decision considering we have almost the entire length of the country to travel, I'd imagine we'd of been travelling today, overnight stay, so if there was doubts an early call off is correct.

No surprise to see our Twitter mongs at it again, Halifax and Barnet will be along shortly to wax lyrical.

The right call. At least we hadn't set off this time.

Our Twitter bots are an embarrassment.

Said Dover will start to call games off as soon as they get the chance, anything not to complete the season. Glorious sunshine and fairly warm should have dried out a pitch, yeah it might rain tomorrow but hardly enough for it to be called off.

The pitch is a ploughed field, bad weather is forecast, Hartlepool were travelling down today [& we've played more games than D&R this year. ]
Parmenter may want to stop playing but that isn't the reason for the postponement.

I know the guy, he's an absolute crackpot. I'm surprised there's only about 5 spelling mistakes in there. Must be a record for him.

Yep he is the 'escape goat' fella from back when The Poolie Bunker was the place to be, one of the cranks that reckons they were a big part of saving Pools via the fundraising when one lass single handedly set it up, a legend in his own head.

We’re away to Havant in the trophy, which our reserves have taken a real liking to. Still won every single game in it apart from last year’s semi-final against a League Two team at the start of our pre-season.

What has you’ve played more games then us this year have to do with anything? We’ve not had a home game called of for donkeys years. Completely dry for 30 hours before kick off and a 50% chance of rain before the match and you call a game off. Tinpot.

Dover cannot call the game off, it has to be called off by a referee.

Bloke on our forum reckons he was told that Dover have chosen not to do any pitch maintenance at all this season except for mowing the grass and painting the lines.

Nearly close to the truth, but , Dover only employ 3 full time staff, which includes the Groundsman, all of who were furloughed from the shutdown back in March, until the start of the season, followed by 3 lots of self isolation since then, and the weather has not been that kind to us with a fair amount of rain ,

So your fans moan if a games called off too late and do the same when it's called off early. These Hartlepool folk are a hard bunch to please :pmsl:

By the way we have sorted the now famous Halifax v Pools game for the 2nd March. Long distance forecast has us listed for a monsoon that day. :woot:

As for this weekend we are having a weekend off as the club that can't get games on but have still played more than anyone else bar Alty I think it's a well earned rest.

Barnet fans you'll be pleased to know Jake Hyde will be fit for the first time in 7 weeks on Tuesday night ready for that good old former clubs curse to strike its magic :shifty:

Fine by me. The sooner we are put out of our misery the better. I would rather be relegated on merit than saved by N&V.

So they are supposed to do what, leave it late on the off chance of the pitch being ok while Hartlepool are travelling hundreds of miles to get there only for it to then probably be called off a few hours before kick off?
With the distance involved it’s the right call to do it early.

What they’re supposed to do is have a pitch fit for purpose, their chairman has clearly not bothered about it as he didn’t want to even start the season. We played on it Boxing Day and it was a cabbage patch and that’s despite them not even playing a home game for the previous 6 weeks leading upto it. Now Hartlepool have to go on a Tuesday night because Dover can’t be bothered to look after their pitch properly.
