We were cack last time out against Eastleigh, gotta do better against a Yeovil side seemingly on the up? Fully prepared to watch them animals kick lumps out of us for 90 minutes, I reckon 2-1 Pools and a Yeovil red.

Forgot what watching a football game feels like it’s been that long!! Hope to god that’s the last isolation period we have to endure as a squad...

Couldn’t really have asked for a tougher start than Notts away either with the momentum they’ve got at the moment.

Head says 2-1 County, heart says 0-1 CFC win with Adi Yussuf slotting home the winner so that we can re-ignite our MASSIVE rivalry with our friends across the border on here:woo:

Should be an interesting game, I think both teams are miles better than when we won 3-2 at your place despite a horrible performance.

Those two injury time goals pretty much got our season going. 11 games, 23 points and just 3 goals conceded (one by Michael Doyle lol) since then.

I saw a graph on Twitter earlier with the xG plotted of all the teams in the league. Ours is pretty bad for goals scored, less than 1 a game, but our xG against is about half of anyone else’s. Like 0.3 a game or something.

That’s basically how we are. Don’t create anywhere near as much as a team with Boldewijn, Rodrigues and Wootton (plus Roberts) should. But so hard to create any clear chances against.

I watched the highlights back of that game a couple of weeks ago... absolute shit show from both sides:lol: I mean that keeper we had on loan that day who literally played 2/3 games... less said the better

It’s interesting that you’re strong defensively as that’s an area in which Rowe has improved massively for us since coming in. One of the best things he did was bring Hayden Hollis (a man you guys will know well) out of the cold and straight into the team and he’s been a revelation... probably our stand out player during Rowe’s tenure so far! So having said all that it pretty much points to a tight cagey affair with 1 goal either way probably being enough... but will end up being a 5-5 now we’ve said that haha!

At the other end of the pitch, we’ve got our best #10 suspended in Tom Whelan so we’re gonna need to find a way to replace him... but our main threat is of course Asante who’s all round game has really surprised me in how good it actually is! Manage to keep him quiet and we’re in trouble!

Hollis has everything you need to be a good centre half at this level. Glad he’s doing well, always gave absolutely everything for us.

King’s Lynn showed in the week that our defence can look a bit vulnerable if you manage to put some pressure on it. Big part of our defensive record is just through having loads of (often quite meaningless) possession every game.

I would take a draw at Aldershot tomorrow. We are looking much better but whenever that happens we tend to lose...

Expecting a real test against Chessie tomorrow, whether they are a bit rusty or not, but if we get the opening goal I fancy us to win it by a couple.

As others have said before, we often play fairly poorly or average, but there is enough attacking quality in the squad for one player to come up with a moment of magic to win it. Usually Rodrigues or Boldewijn, sometimes with Wootton applying the final touch. Plus we have two good centre halves - although if Asante and Yussuf both start tomorrow (likely?) they’ll have their hands full.

Regular keeper is suspended, but young Luke Pilling made a very impressive debut in his place on Tuesday.

Not feeling at all confident about this. Goals are a worry for us , we've a few decent finishers but struggle to create clear cut chances.
Glad to hear Hollis is doing well, great attitude but was always very vulnerable to a bit of quick thinking and movement when he was with us.
1-1.

We don’t score anywhere near enough normal goals. Largely just seem to deal in long range strikes and sweeping team moves where everything works.

Away at Torquay 4 days after getting beat by bottom of the league. Your welcome in advance Torquay. This could get messy if we perform like we did on Tuesday.

Our record at Sutton is terrible (I don't think we've ever won at GGL) and I don't expect that to change tomorrow.

Congrats in advance Torquay on your 3 points. We look lost without Summerfield and can't see anything past a comfortable Torquay win. Just hope it's not a cricket score if it's anything like Tuesday's performance

I would suggest offering to let you have Bell back, but then I remembered he actually scored goals for you, and that's entirely against our new Culture™

Doesn’t matter how shit we get, and we are really shit at the moment, we beat you at home. 3-1 Shots, Miller hat-trick.

Nah, not really.... you’ll stuff us. Did I mention we’re really shit?

It's more evident every week that you just took him off us because we were starting to become a rival up near the top of the league. Ultimate sh*thouse tactics. However I'd expect us to do exactly the same thing in that situation haha

??? How long did you say you've been a fan? I'm much more confident of a result at a Torquay then I was at Barnet. We ALWAYS turn up against the top teams. :ds:

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Makeshift defence for the Shots today, round pegs in square holes owing to injuries. But that’s no excuse, ‘cos that’s the Searle way, levering players in to fit his formation. If Miller can hit some sort of form, we may be looking to “score 1 more than you,” but recently we have been woeful all over the pitch. Can’t see anything other than another defeat. 1-3

Tough first game back. We are missing both Whelan and Rowley for our pressing CAM role - so that will be a big miss. Hope we can get some form of a result. Would take a draw.

We don't do that many reds, just lots of yellows.

I imagine this will be our best streaming numbers of the season, should be a big (online) home turn out plus a decent Chessie one. £12 but a very good stream - has the radio Nottingham commentary and summariser (usually Mark Stallard), plus multiple angle replays
