Neil Aspin realises he's wasting his career at Tin Pot Gateshead and goes home to Port Vale. Having witnessed the way the fans have bonded with Big Billy on our recent visit up there, he realised his dream of returning to The Shay was finally over. His achievements at The Shay undoubtedly put him in the frame for his new job. :bdick:

Delighted to get Aspo back at the club, rumours his former manager and Vale god John Rudge could be DOF in this set up too. Apparently very organised and sets his teams up to be hard to beat which if so is just what we need at the moment.

Should be a big crowd Saturday for the home coming.

A bit of respect goes a long way BT2F. SIR Neil Aspin please.

Lord* :)

Hoping he does wonders at Burslem. Well, keeps them well clear of the drop at least. He showed too much faith with us in the past when league clubs showed interest, and he got bitten. I hope he enjoys his prize now.

Yeah, treated disgracefully at the end by The Shaymen, both the B.O.D and a fair number of the fans. In 6 years brought in close to 7 figures in prize money and transfer fees, and filled the trophy cabinet to bursting. Deserves a statue in the club car park here.

He signed Anton Foster and Scott Metcalfe. I'd bulldoze that statue as soon as people's backs are turned.
