I think it was like the first league stadium to be built in 50 years at the time or something.
Yeah, I think Boothferry Park and Vale Park were the previous "new grounds" in the Football League to be built before Glanford Park!

Ah yes, forgot about them.
Roots Hall certainly doesn't look new nowadays!
Well I guess 1955 means it was built around the same time as our main stand, back when Andrew Jenkins first sat on the CUFC board of directors, looked around him and thought 'this is the way this club should always be run'.
