It's not a must win but it's certainly a 'could really do without fucking losing again' game for us.
A win would put us on 34 points and on the brink of safety. A loss start would make me concerned that we're running out of games to pick up points in...
We were terrible against Palace, and Newcastle have looked decent at home recently, so I'm not confident
Read Mooy might not play which'd be good for us. Joselu not fit for selection and Slimani should get some minutes which, again, would be good for us. This is a game we should be winning, but having not played a competitive game for 3 weeks I'm not confident either.
Massive goal, surely means they're now safe. I'm a bit mixed about Newcastle. Really want them to stay up purely because of Rafa. But if an owner ever deserved his investment to go tits up it's Ashley. Plus, if they went down Rafa would have his choice of a fair amount of top flight teams when the managerial merry go round started again. He would surely be off in the close season had they dropped.
messed up a good chance to score. other than that he pressured their keeper in to making a mistake which lead to our goal and he did a bit of running. hoping he gets a start against arsenal in 2 weeks time and then plays for the rest of the season to see what he can do and whether or not hes worth buying b/c gayle and joselu definitely aren't up to it.
on another note huddersfield fans should be annoyed with their team/manager today. that's the sort of fixture they really need to be going all out to win if they want to stay up but they were so negative, especially in the first half.
£15mil is the rumoured fee though, so i fully expect us to bid £3mil before the club tell the chronicle "we just couldn't get the deal over the line" once chelsea laugh us out of negotiations. if ashley doesn't sell of course.

Na a draw would've been a good result. We played the same way we did when we won at St James last season, but our counter attack and final ball was really poor. I know it goes against our 'no limits' ethos but the reality is we're not good enough to go attacking away from home.
