I've attached a poll containing the three sides that were promoted from League 1. Which team do you guys think will finish highest? I understand that you can't be too sure yet until the transfer window has closed but what are your initial thoughts? Just interested.

Hey, that's a great 'pole' question.

This could be interesting though, potentially a fair bit of cockwaving here between City and Preston fans, and then people jumping in and moaning about Bristol City fans being heavy handed etc etc.

Well it would be nice if people wasn't biased :L. Not a lot of point really unless they generally think they'll finish highest.

Would I be biased to say City will finished above PNE or MK? Not in my opinion.

I wouldn't stick money on it, but at this stage I'd say we probably would finish above both of them, and you'd be a fool to disagree currently seeing as none of us have yet added to our squads, and MK Dons have lost many loan players that they previously had last season.

But then again - this may be completely different come the first day of the season, but as things stand we probably would finish above them, but that's irrelivant come the first day of the season.

Oh yeah of course but that's not exactly what I mean. I went for City as well actually. It seems that you already have a squad capable of doing fine in this division and it seems like your owner's willing to invest.

Put City, genuine belief at this time, whether the opinion changes after seeing the summer business done will be seen

We will struggle at the moment. Our attack is non existent. The rest will probably pass muster but we will no way compete with either City or Preston money wise. It's all in the loan market for us I expect.

I think all 3 sides will stay up with Bristol City finishing the highest of the 3.Think they will finish in or just outside the playoffs.

Impossible to say at this stage before signings etc and certain posters get very touchy when city fans suggest they might do alright next year so I'm saying nothing! The one thing I will say though is that finishing position from last season means very little. Two years ago, Donny won the league ahead of Bournemouth... The former went straight down again whereas the latter are now in the premier league.

If it bothers you, why not get some of your own fans over here? Would be nice to have a bigger community where all clubs are well represented.

If you go on to Charlton Life you'll see why I wouldn't want any other Charlton fans to post on here.

I don't mind reading about Bristol City but gets quite boring when it's the same thing in every thread you click on.

I'm going for PNE. Think that Daniel Johnson will turn into a great player... wish we signed him last year. Garner is a natural goalscorer too.

Good shout tbf. I think they'll probably all do fairly well; can't see any of them being in any real trouble IMO

It doesn't take a genius to work out that a thread with the title "newly promoted sides" would involve Bristol City, when only 3 were promoted to the championship, and one of them was, surprise, surprise Bristol City.

Why are MK Dons fans being a bunch of bitches about their chances?

They've got a decent core of players, they will work the loan market as usual and thanks to player sales they will be able to compete financially in terms of wages. Wouldn't be surprised to see them average about 13,000 this season as they will get big followings there most weeks.

Just what this forum needed.

Another thread to discuss Bristol City.

I was fully aware of what the content of this thread would be as per my quoted post above.

Point is, this thread wasn't needed.

Are any threads actually "needed"?
Sheep isn't needed, but very popular, same with many other forum games.

As for the many other threads 'about' us, I haven't been on this part of the forum much but I only see the one about our stadium rebuild (which isn't exactly needed) and the "club's in this league in size order" which only became about us when some fans didnt like that we thought we won't be shit, or are we supposed to say we will finish bottom and get 0 points. That thread wasn't really needed either tbh.
