Be a right appointment that, just bizarre how they wouldn't back John Sheridan with a budget but they will Steve Evans? Evans definitely could have held out for a top League One side so Oldham must have either some money to play with or Evans is getting a pretty number out of it.

From what I know, Shez left because we decided to sell our assets but weren't prepared to offer him a pay rise, however Corney has decided to have one final go at it and pump more money in, hence is having a budget of around £2m and of course bringing Evans, Raynor & Co in.

Mixed emotions from me as I think he's a right c***, but at the end of the day he plays good football and gets results.

Good with big budgets for the league he's managing in. It's ok having them, but you've got to be able to deliver, which is generally what he does.
