I've still not had figures for Eastleigh at Bromley so they've been left out, or Maidenhead at Weymouth. Solihull are yet to play away.

We're being given 1200 tickets for Southend away, I expect they'll go fairly quickly.
We won't get anywhere near that now, there's been several cock ups on the ticket front meaning a lot are just not bothering anymore. Shame, as we definitely would've taken over 1200 to this one.

Great away support from Grimsby as usual. They remind me of Port Vale in the numbers they take away, relative to their home support.

I wonder what the connection is between Burslem and North East Lincolnshire?

Very poor following from Bromley, first game of season for what is a 40 min drive or a travelcard journey which takes about an hour and 15 on the train. Lots of these newer clubs that get 1500 at home but can’t muster decent away fans we almost took as many to Stockport. We should take double that to Barnet tomorrow yet get fewer home fans.

Having just seen the price of admission, I can't say I blame them. £21 for Dagenham is bad enough for an adult (still not as bad as King's Lynn) but normally charging £12 for 10-16 year olds is scandalous for this level of football.

£21 is the price you pay for decent facilities at this level, you would pay similar for a crappy terrace elsewhere like Boreham Wood and Bromley with no roof. Said before our kids prices are to expensive for match tickets, we have great early bird season ticket prices for kids.

Cock ups by us?
Wouldn't be surprising

Can’t think of any connection really, top one is Burslem and bottom is Grimsby* and there seems no similarities whatsoever. :dk:

Funnily enough I'm much more likely to sack off Boreham Wood and Bromley for those exact reasons, that plus like Dagenham I've been there before with Wealdstone.

The matchday pricing imo just prices out the casual fan who'd be living locally and tempted to give it a go.

Our terrace is £15 pay on the day, won’t get any cheaper at this level. No matter when or how we do deals the floating fan never returns it is always the same folk. If we have a good season we might get a few hundred extra but another rubbish season and we will lose more like we have been doing the last 5 years.

Actually, Oldham and previously Bury have sometimes bettered us for the highest away fans divided by home fans ratio, I think we usually top Vale comfortably - their home fans numbers are slightly better than ours typically. Oldham's are lower and Bury's of course were much lower but away games against each other and other Lancs and West Yorks games, would pull their ratio up. For 2019/20, when it finished, I'm reasonably confident we would have been the best in the EFL at about 18.5% - would maybe need to check Luton who sell out every home game in the Championship. On the basis that no other football league has as many travelling fans as the EFL + NL - could Gy be current world champions? Or maybe there is some Scottish club that hold that title...

Not overly helped that you have to buy online as well by 12pm. Not sure what the point of making it all ticket for away fans is, especially a non Belt.

Chief,
Do I guess from this that you got figures for the following? If so, what are they please?

Southend v Stockport
Stockport v Dag/Red
Kings Lynn v Southend
Boreham Wood v Aldershot
Wealdstone v Southend.

Cheers.

Two seated stands you’re required to buy online in advance, we moved to this option this season have no idea why but surely everyone knows by 12pm on match day if you’re traveling to an away match. If anyone decides after that they still want to go pay £6 less for a terrace in the home end. If we have an fans forum I’ll ask why it’s changed, my guess is it’s local council or police request as it no way benefits the club.

The 2 Southend away ones were 1600 at Kings Lynn and 800 at Wealdstone.

Might well be the case but we have found that older demographic has stopped buying tickets/going to games. Whether it’s the notion of buying tickets in advance/online or they are concerned about health issues , not sure, but sales have fallen through the floor.

I did notice a distinct lack of older fans at our first game, specially in our clubhouse you can not get a table in normally but there were plenty free. Hopefully they have the confidence to come back as I’m sure like most clubs at these levels there are not many young ones that are regulars just occasionally or big games only.

They are both hovels where the main entertainment on offer is fighting after 5 pints of Stella or poking dogshit with sticks.

Two (glitterball )championships and 4 more final appearances...

And I have danced Argentine Tango as a guest of his excellency the Argentinian Embassador at his residence in Belgrave Square - and then got thrown out for fighting with some show-off prick from of one the London dance schools who was getting in my face with his fancy ganchos...

Stockport brought less 250 last week , your making excuses that you won’t be bringing many, thought you were big clubs ? Rich chairman doesn’t buy away support. Saying that hope your wrong chief and welcome to those who do come . Any chance of a few renditions of Men of Harlech like at LDV final Cardiff ?

Ambassador, with this Grimsby fan dancing you are really spoiling us.
Was expecting our honourable member for Halifax to explain that the Glitterball is a tinpot trophy and the Last, and proper, Tango, is always in Halifax…

Unfortunately our Kevin’s father is from Scunthorpe and when it comes to football he is a Chelsea and Scunthorpe fan. I can hardly think of a worse combination. To be fair, save for that he and sis are great ambassador for the town.

I didn't say we won't be bringing many, we may still have 1000 down there which I would argue is pretty decent for a 9 hour round trip at this level. I just don't expect us to sell the 1200 out online, which we probably would have if there weren't issues with the site.

9 hours to get the Rhyl experience. Not that appealing. We will bring more than 250 though.

Fair play, anywhere near 1000 would be excellent, hope you all have a pointless day. Safe journey everyone.
