I went the weekend before the first lockdown after our game at Woking was called off, most were there for the beer and had no interest in the football. No pitch side beer allowed at this level which will hit their revenues and a few fans. It was a decent atmosphere people having a laugh but at this level people are more serious about their football which might be a surprise to their hipster mentality when 3-400 fans from a proper club turn up.

New ground capacity is 4,000.
Also wait...the weekend before the very first original lockdown? That's the one I went to! They came from behind to win?

Yeah against Hemel I think, drinking beer all match is dangerous as I don’t remember much of the match.

I have a bit of a soft spot for Dulwich as a few years ago we went to visit my Wife’s Sister in Camborne and we went to Land’s End and I had my Grimsby top on and so this guy started chatting to me about football and he was a Dulwich fan and he was really excited about the next season as they’d just been promoted and he was massively excited that they were now in the same division as Torquay.
Really nice bloke and very complimentary about my GTFC too so I’ve had a soft spot for them since that day.

Apologies for the dullness of my story above, I’ve just read it back and I’m now thinking why the fuck did I even post that, basically just me waffling on, sorry.
Keep on waffling, I say. I very much enjoyed your family Christmas meal table pics.

Dulwich fans are a strange bunch. We brought about 350 there on a bank holiday in our Conf South season and they were all complaining about it being segregated.

When we played them earlier in that season at Kingfield their fans were kicking off about a) being searched on the way in b) not being allowed to buy beer (or pale ale) in the ground and c) not having any vegan food options.

It’s like they think they invented non league football.

God only knows what they'll think if they get promoted to this level, Southend don't even provide onions.
I prefer the Lewes fans and their pomegranate and hummus chips.

I still don’t know who eats in football grounds myself. It’s ninety minutes and the options are always awful, go to the pub!

Massive fat bastards who can't go for 2 hours without eating. On a Saturday the match is generally on between regular meal times. Eat before or eat after.

Spoons breakfasts are absolutely terrible, and I don’t mind their food in general.

Professional teams tend to be terrible, barring how good Kidderminster used to be and the pies they had at Hereford 10-15 years ago.

But then go down the pyramid and there are many places where the food out does the football by quite some distance. A club near me, Punjab United, I won't eat before going there, they could easily open their food bar as a restaurant. Glebe, near Chislehurst, is another place with exceptional food. The goat curry at Tooting, Herne Bay's baguettes, that chicken wrap shack at St. Albans, Lewes chips. I think clubs who need the extra income have worked out that higher quality grub will bring significant income.

I’ve always wondered why so many people eat at the football.

Only reason normally is if you get the coach and there’s nothing near the ground. Even then you can bring something with you if you really want.

Absolute madness. Spoons breakfast is the only reason to go in the place. Proper football day out starts with spoons breakfast and beer, followed by train with beers to destination, followed by beer in pub within walking distance of ground, followed by a shit game of football and then repeat (swapping the spoons breakfast for a dodgy kebab at the end of the night).

I'm with Jacob, the only reason to have a Spoons breakie is the price and the fact that you can have a pint with it. The quality is fucking garbage. I've got a mate who asked for scrambled eggs instead of fried and they said they only had fried eggs. Make of it what you will, Spoons fans.
