why have the gates gone up so much - have you got rid of the old owner?
nearly right, martin has at last realised he doesn't have the expertise to run a football club, so has bought in proper football people, after a huge amount on pressure was brought to bear on him. We now have a footballing and financial structure in place after years of licking our finger and holding it up to the wind.

Exciting times with people who actually have some passion for the club has seen this upturn.

So is the hope this season just to try and finish off well in preparation for a promotion push next year (and hope that Stockport and Wrexham go up this year) - or to try and get into the play-off's this time?

Very much the first option. If we can finish top ten it will be a remarkable turnaround, then we push on next season and construct a squad with a view to putting on a title challenge whoever is in the division.

We won't get the play offs this year. Too far off. Would need to win at least 14 of our last 19

120 Bees at Notts. Respectable under the circumstances.

Stockport County.
1,581 Chesterfield at County. If they'd sold out their 1900 it would have been a full house at EP but the away following made it fall just short.

Around 130 Yeovil fans at the Vale, estimated by club official. Not sure why we can’t give more definitive numbers. 120 online sales.

One guy was out of his tree. Saw him outside The Blue Boar at about half five singing the "you are my Sunshine" song on his own in the street, with Bromley inserted in it, (He wouldn't have walked away from the pub 35 years ago lol, how times have changed, for the better I hasten to add), pi$$ed as a newt then! so that was one, but three more got removed, being quite aggressive and the last guy quite placid and looking a little bemused. So who knows, could have been a combination of drink, offensive chanting I suppose.

On a brighter note the place was rocking last night, such a happier place. I see on Shrimperzone a few have posted that they have been lured back on the back of last night's price and have noticed the change in the atmosphere around the place, that's the refreshing part about what's happening.

The away following or the home clubs selling policy? The family only stand was the problem

I still don't get this, I know of people wanting to go but couldn't get tickets despite there being 200 odd empty seats down the side. They can't be short of a few quid if they can pick and choose who they let in

Well we know that mate. Signing Rooney, Madden and Quigley for £200k+ plus Bolton’s captain and a NL promotion winning manager from the EFL is an absolutely huge outlay at this level. The only reason it has gone ‘relatively’ unremarked is Wrexham’s massive spending.

Stocky trying to gaslight us poor CFC fans into believing that we are the problem when he made multiple comments about their numbskulled approach to flogging tickets but a few days prior is tantamount to emotional abuse.

(Apologies if he is schizophrenic).

Yeah to clarify, the away support fell short due to our own weird policy of only allowing families and OAP's in the two blocks on the Pop side.

Spoke to a Bromley supporter after the game, he said there was a group of five who none of the regular supporters had ever seen. They were drunk and abusive to everyone.

As you say Colin , great positive atmosphere at the Hall last night, the 5000 regulars deserved that after what we’ve witnessed the past few seasons

Looked more than 130 to me, I’d have said 150+, closer to 170.

You always overplay the visiting away fans and underplay us on the road. I’d have gone with around 150 though. Not sure why we don’t give precise figures.

Hopefully last night's result and performance will have bought a few more back that Ron Martin's financial antics had driven away......
