Another big game for us, and one which will bring Northampton right into the relegation mix should we win it.

We must not lose, though.

RIPLEY

WILSON - CLARKE - GERRARD - HUNT

BANKS - GREEN

MCLAUGHLIN - O'NEILL - TAYLOR

HOLLOWAY
Northampton 1-1 Latics (280 'tics)

Whilst we didnt score at the weekend we created plenty of chances in the first half. Goal scoring hasnt been an issue for us, although the defence continues to leak goals at an alarming rate. Think I saw that Oldham were the lowest scorers in the football league. Think we will have enough to just edge this one.

We have an appallingly low strike rate but it's picked up to less than mediocre since shez came back. This is out big weakness.

We seem to cope with attacking forces quite well whoever they may be this season so if your analogy is accurate I'd back us to score a rare goal over you keeping a rare clean sheet.

1-0 away win

Huge win. Especially given other results. Not a night to be a Vale fan

Thought we were crap, yet still managed to carve out some really good chances but were kept at bay by Ripley who made some good saves (and a couple stunning ones). Oldham nearly lost themselves two points by sitting back, but came at us again after our equaliser and nicked the winner. Think if they'd have been as attacking all game as they were in the last 10 minutes then it might have been a bit more comfortable for them.

It was also a blatant foul on Clarke in the lead up to your equaliser.

Agreed. I thought it was blatant and I was at the other end of the stadium. Not sure how we didnt score in the first half but we are right in the mire now.
