I was playing Fifa last night as the Orient and lost 3-2 to bottom of the table Northampton with Hoskins bagging a hat-trick - he routinely scores against us nearly every time he plays against us and it got me thinking, what player always seems to bang them in against you?

Honourable mention for Ricky Lambert, who scored home and away from Brovers against us, then moved to Saints who were in League 1 at the time, and scored against us again in the home fixture. Infuriating.

Only positive about our plummet is the fact we didn’t have to play against Eoin Doyle again.

Scored 10 goals in 11 games against us.

Made worse by the fact he repeatedly turned us down too

Adebayo Akinfenwa - used to bloody love scoring against us.

I remember watching him score for Northampton once in the slowest foot race you are ever likely to see. He turned Alan Bennet from about 30 yards out and they raced to the 18 yard box. I'm not joking, I honestly felt I could have jumped out of my seat, ran down to the pitch and beat both of them!!

Richards and Le Fondre were two I thought of straight away as well.

Liam Dickinson and particularly Izale McLeod and Chris Dagnall were never far from the scoresheet either.

Daryl Clare and Matt Tubbs.

Inevitably when we signed Clare at 57 years old he was utter shite, scored 1 goal from a yard out, and missed about 6 months with a broken fingernail or some such shit.

Akinfenwa always scored against us, had a ridiculous record, we just never could deal with him, Micky Adams even bemoaned it.

Further back Luke Beckett and Marco Gabbiadini liked playing against us..

In recent years Ryan Loft (lol) stands out as one!

For a team not renowned for having goalscorers that's 4 who played for us now mentioned.
I can't really remember a player that always used to score against us, actually Matty Lund or Ellis Harrison but no one to the point it became a thing.

But you could bet a former player always would, and most of the time did. Ian Henderson for one. Also players that scored against us, we would sign and then wouldn't score a single goal for us, Andy Kirk, Shaun Harris, Leon Constantine, Danny Rose and now Tyreece Simpson etc

Alfie %$&*%# May

This - and pleased to see you've given him the correct nickname.

I think Diving Danny Hylton was good for a few against us back in the day.
Jordan Rhodes got (I think) a couple of hat-tricks vs us, the git

I feel like there's probably some really obvious ones I'm missing, but May is certainly the worst example in recent seasons.

in recent times Will Grigg tends to score a lot against us.

I always remember Ian Stevens scoring pretty much every time he played against us for Shrewsbury and Carlisle

We had loads. Lee Mills, Lee Hughes, Jermaine Beckford and Wayne Allison to name a few, probably more I've also forgot.

But the one that scored past us loads that infuriated me more than anyone else was comfortably Jason Price. He was an absolutely dogshit footballer and I swear most the time he rarely started whenever we were up against him, yet he always had a knack of scoring big or late goals against us in the 2000s and, worse still, he was fully aware of his excellent scoring record against us and loved to remind us that. I think he did it on at least five occasions and there may well be a sixth that escapes me.

Quite, the first name that popped into my head. So disappointing when we signed him.

Feel like Cole Stockton would have been a contemporary one, but maybe that's just because he scored by being hit in the face last time we played them. Not sure it stacks up otherwise.

Any player that was crap when he was with us will score against us 100% - Owen Dale for all his industry couldn't hit a barn door and scores with the wost scuffed volley for Blackpool.
Joe Piggot was not amazing for us and struggled to score, did against us in the efl trophy the other week
And bloody James bloody Collins.. Every game he scores against us without a doubt
This season, dodgy Pen for Derby, last season when we're 1 up at Derby comes on a scores. Scored a 4 for Swindon back in the day, Scored for Luton to knock us out of the FA cup one year.

Back in the premier league days was always Lampard, always a long ranged deflected goal. All the time

James Collins also scored the winner for us back in 2016 when we beat you on the final day under Wilder

James Collins was the main one I could think of in terms of lower leagues but I'm sure there's a couple more.

Back in the Prem there were a few. Danny Murphy scored against us for Charlton, Fulham and Spurs and maybe Liverpool too. Craig Bellamy always gave us hell, too.

Darren Bent was the worst though. Scored against us for Ipswich, Charlton, Spurs and Sunderland I think.

Clive Mendonca, that bloke even scored against us when he fell flat on his face in the penalty area and the ball hit his arse and went in
