Shame we let go of Jack Stacey - he's a big Reading fan and we could do with some healthy competition at RB for Yiadom.

Birmingham may struggle to keep hold of Che Adams, although not sure he is ready for Premiership, could see one of the top championship teams coming in for him

A real talent. Was close to signing for West Brom at the beginning of last season but thankfully the deal fell through. If he does go this transfer window it will be to one of the big budget clubs. Great team spirit at the club though and hoping the players are happy enough to stay but at the end of the day money talks. Will have to be a lot of money though.

A lot of money is an understatement.

Might be a lot of money for us, but would it be a lot of money for the level we now find ourselves at? Not so sure myself, especially as I think he only has a year left on his contract? Think there are plenty of clubs at this level who would happily part with money for him, anyone in need of a fullback in this league should be looking at him.

Pretty resigned to losing at least one of Stacey or JJ, more likely Stacey a I think JJ will stay 1 more year. But we have propelled ourselves up the leagues off the back of selling and identifying good players to reinvest in. Cant begrudge either of them leaving.

Of course not, but I’d want to get at least £8m for the pair. I think with Stace it automatically gets extended for another year after promotion.

8m for two untested Lg1 full backs?

Madness

Probably, but along with Collins'goals, they are main reason for our success this season. Vital to our formation and attacking play. Would be a huge loss if they left so would need to be worth our while.

For me Jack Stacey is the best player at the club. He is off the charts in terms of statistics. Shinnie > Stacey > Collins is the reason why we won the league - that triumvirate setting up goals.

Not even much of a debate for me, best by far I think. From January onwards he went to another level. And those 3 all together just complimented each other so well

So good to hear Stacey is doing really well...Still a total hero down our way and annoyingly he was all set to sign permanently for us but we were waiting for the Watkins to Brentford deal to go through before we could stump up the cash :hb:

Also saw one rumour on Exeweb that Preston have shown an interest in Hiram Boateng who’s out of contract but is under 24 so would go to tribunal. They obviously like what they got with Storey and Stockley so are sniffing around again! Don’t think Boateng is ready for the Championship, personally but is one heck of a talent nonetheless.

Much in it? All I saw was some fans in our forum saying we should look at him.

I've never seen him play but if he was a Championship ready player we wouldn't be able to afford him anyway. We tend to sign players that are cheap but have the ability to step up.

If he's anything like Storey and Stockley I'd sign him, I'm a big fan of both.

Fair enough. He does have a shed load of potential and can come up with some outrageous pieces of skill. The goal he scored vs Port Vale a few weeks back was easily goal of the season in L2. But, the following week he missed an open goal from 4 yards! So he does blow hot and cold...I’d say he’s worth a punt as he may slot in well with a better standard of player.

It doesn’t sound like anything concrete from what SF_ said in his last post...It may just be a couple of fans picking his name out of a hat as a possible signing. Love silly season....

Like Leyland said, I'd take a punt.

Only issue, does he play on the left? That back up/ bedding in slot is already filled by Ginnelly. I think CJ Hamilton is more likely as he's further on in his career.

He’s a centre mid. Big stocky player, reminds me of JET.

Wouldn’t say he’s all that stocky. One part of his game he probably needs to improve is his physicality.

I’d say he’s best used as an attacking centre mid rather than an orthodox CM. If you can get him on the ball in advanced positions he’s definitely at his best there.

Maybe not in terms of his style of play but he's a sizeable frame.

Played for Plymouth, Rovers and Exeter so I've seen a bit of him. Looks a real talent, but the last two clubs he's been at now he's just packed it in and given up from what I've been told.

Hmmm agree to disagree on that. Having watched him live 30 times or so over the past 2 seasons he really isn’t of a powerful build like JET.

Would say he does go missing in games and hasn’t stepped up when we really needed him in the final few matches, which is a shame but agree he is a real talent.

Any Leeds players worth taking? It would be pretty funny if we turn them into virtually our feeder club again, as was the case in our previous Prem spell.

Not really for you. Hernandez getting on, Jansson’s a knobhead. Maybe Phillips, that’s about it.
