Yeah performances are definitely getting worse , which is worrying. I'm a firm believer in giving the manager time, but he has done nothing of any note, and he seems to be getting more clueless.

Players looked like they didn't give a shit in that second half, you can have spot on tactics but if there's no motivation and the players aren't willing to do the dirty work then a change is probably necessary. Villa's players look like a set of mercenaries but you're stuck with them so your best chance is trying to find someone who will get them back on track, early in the season or not.

Jedinak is a player I associate with being physical and a leader, yet him and Westwood were bullied yesterday and not once did I see him try and encourage the players around him. That's a telling sign.

Jedinak and Westwood haven't got the legs to control a midfield. The tactics di Matteo is employing are bizarre. I honestly thought we would click soon enough and rip a few teams a new arse, but I'm starting to think this season may be a disaster. It's as if these new players have inherited the negative goings on of the last 5 years.

You have 11 individuals who have absolutely zero chemistry as a team. Grealish is a little shit who for a player who supposedly loves the club, showed no passion or desire to get anything from the game. Not one player looked like they cared.

Brilliant scene after the game too when robbo and DJ got the biggest cheer of the day from the Villa fans too, was well chuffed for them.

I noticed one of Villa players threw his arms up in the air when he got tackled rather than getting on with it.

Maybe sums them up!?

Been a while since I commented on here but I feel I need to after that game yesterday!

From a PNE perspective, what a fantastic win that was for us. Up against a side who have spent 50+ million and we dominated for 90 minutes. Fantastic.

As for Villa. What a joke of a football team. I echo what what fellow PNE fans have already said. Fair play to the 5500 villa fans as if I had to witness such a gutless display as that I would be fuming.

Where was the passion?! Villa looked like they literally give up with 30min left it was pathetic. No tactics. No passion. No creativity which is astounding to say when you have arguably the best 2 strikers in the division.

Kodija and Mcormack last season were both fantastic. Kodija didn't get a sniff and Mcormack came on looked like he was playing center midfield?! What a waste.

To spend 50 million and let the likes of Robinson and DJ come to PNE for a combined 50k makes a mockery of Saturdays game and also gives hope to clubs like PNE that pride, passion, togetherness and team spirit can't be bought.

There's a reason RDM has been sacked mate. We've been a joke all season.

Officially he hadn't yesterday, but he was given his marching orders not long after we played you. Either Saturday evening/Sunday morning any way.

Also yeah, I read some ridiculous stat like you've had 6 managers sacked immediately after playing PNE in the past year or so.

Oh right fair enough.

Yeah we seem fairly good at putting the final nail in the coffin!!

As a Villa fan did it not piss you off watching 2 young lads you basically give us run rings around your 50 million pound men at the weekend?!

Been watching PNE for over 20 years and that last 30 minutes from Villa was up there as the most pathetic I have seen, how you keep selling out away games watching that is beyond me

Very much so, why bother bringing them through if we're not going to give them chances? I believe neither player made a first team appearance either.

 I've no clue how we're bringing so many fans still, last time we won away was 8/8/15 ffs. Managed 17 points last season, we've had more managers than wins in the past 12 months, it's a bad time to be a Villan.

Robinson made 4 or 5 sub appearances I think

Seems to be making an impact this season? (From the little highlights I've seen)
Didn't look up to much when on loan to us, all be it in brief appearances.

Yeah he's been excellent. Probably our player of the season so far.

Not going to lie wasn't overly excited about signing Robinson on a permanent. Always had quality but was very inconsistent in the times we had him on loan in my view.

Agree he's probably been our best player this season.

The lads proved me wrong. He is getting better by the game and is a constant threat in every game he plays in. His final product is also getting better. If he keeps improving at the rate he is at the moment he is going to be a top player.
