Sometimes it's tricky trying to find good coverage of our league with the main media outlets often giving us brief (if that) air time.

However, found a podcast last week that seems to tick all of the boxes in terms of very good professional and fan view of the National League. Also very good coverage of the North & South too which is going to help my knowledge of them levels.

So far this season, a very comprehensive league preview podcast and a review of the first weekend at this link: https://audioboom.com/channels/4967965
Also, they're on twitter at: https://twitter.com/NLFullTime

Podcasts uploaded each week. Definitely one to add to the list.

Decent, working from home now I get through a lot of podcasts about all sorts of random stuff, so some National League ones to listen to would be a nice addition.

Any decent club ones out there? Is a Notts one on Youtube by a guy who used to be a director which gets some great guests. Had Cal Roberts on last week which was really good, went into loads of detail about his injuries last season which was an interesting listen.

theres a few wrexham related ones that popped up over lockdown, but this is the best of the bunch.

ex player on every pod, and they talk candidly about their time at the club, their career, and a few home truths. Some won't be worth a listen to non wrexham fans, but others will - the latest one being Jay Harris

There are a couple of decent Wrexham ones- Fearless in Devotion and Rob, Ryan, Red. How much interest they hold to non-Wrexham fans im not sure. People like Mickley Thomas and Lee Trundle are always interesting to listen to though.

I actually took part in putting a podcast together last year (about the Korean K League of all things). I think we got 9 episodes out before it petered out, a lot of work to get anything half decent.

DN35 is our best club one. Might actually be the only one? But again, not sure how interesting it will be for non-Town fans.

Why the K-League, out of interest? I used to watch FC Seoul a fair bit when I lived there. Saw them win the league in 2012 and went to the home leg of the Asian Champions League in 2013.

We have a good club one called ‘We are sailing’ and regularly have members of the boardroom on talking about plenty of off the field stuff. Some good insightful stuff and actual facts.

I’m sure that would interest plenty on here..

At the time it was the only league in the world starting (there were a few tail enders in places like Belarus) back in the early days of the Pandemic. So we decided to all pick teams and then that evolved into doing a podcast that followed us learning more about the league and Korean culture. It was pretty fun, its a good league with an interesting structure. I ended up supporting Pohang Steelers.

Our final episode was probably the only one worth listening to, an interview with a guy called Devon Rowcliffe about this book: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Who-Ate-All-Squid-Adventures-ebook/dp/B08DMWDZK4

Hes also worth following on twitter.

This is it, such as it is if you ever get stuck for something to listen to

Nice idea, that. Did you end up watching games, then? I'll have a listen to these tomorrow during work and let you know what I think.

Just noticed by looking at the titles that you discovered what a ddong chim is. Can confirm this really happens!

Pohang has some great seafood too, so good choice.

Yeah we watched a few mostly using dodgy links, and the K league do a good job with extensive highlights after every game too. Even though we've stopped doing the podcast one day we are all going to go over there and catch a game.

Fearless in Devotion is definitely our best one due to the quality of guest they have on and the fact it is produced by fans who are also journalists and therefore sometimes have inside knowledge.

Is Fearless in Devotion done by Tim Edwards? Back in the day he used to report on Wealdstone for the Harrow Observer.

We have new one, Stonescast. Still learning the ropes. So far we have had interviews with a director and our assistant manager. Brought to you by a number of those involved in our award winning, best in the division, programme.

That's the one Gladders has posted a bit further up, I think.

What I reckon would be decent is a combined one with presenters from each club (not every presenter every podcast, but a combination of them on a rotating basis).

Enjoyed the first episode of that, cheers. The bit when you were like "as I support a team from Wales, one team jumped out at me..." even though I knew you went with Pohang I was thinking Jeonnam DRAGONS surely?! Also perhaps you later find out but it's Busan IPark (as in upper case i), Busan is a great city, incidentally.

When I was watching FC Seoul, Dejan Damjanovic was one of those players that you'd slag off all match and somehow he'd score a winner. No idea how he scored so many goals, he hardly ever looked decent!

Yeah we got all the names and pronunciation wrong, I'm not sure we ever improved on that tbh! There is a really good website called K League United run be ex pats and a few of them were pretty helpful pointing out things we got wrong!

Completely agree about Dejan, could not see how he scored so many! looked a bit of a donkey, unlike people like Junior and Cesinha who were actually pretty decent.

Getting through these now, listened to 2 and 3 today, there was even a reference to Mighty Mariner in there! Can confirm that BO thing is partially true. A lot of them don't produce sweat, it's an East Asian thing I think not just a Korean thing but it's not completely universal. The women don't really have leg hair either, I didn't date a single Korean that shaved her legs!

Mighty Mariner still gives me the creeps
Hahaha yeah he is a bit creepy tbf, however he looks less paedo-like now that he is in a proper kit and not in trawlerman clothes following Mini Mariner round everywhere.

We have Gloverscast which 3 of our fans started 18 months ago. It's a website doing a great job of picking up the pieces of the sadly no longer running Ciderspace, and also a weekly podcast. Good interviews with former players, up to date news from the club, views from other clubs and the usual team chat and speculation. I really like it.
