Poor Referees

Does anyone north of border ever question why all referees who make the grade are never brickies, work in MacDonald’s etc they are always from a background of lawyers solicitors teachers etc are the real football people who understand the game better being pushed away hence the never ending poor referee performances

Maybe the best ones leave the profession early as they have better things to do than be abused and assaulted each game at Grassroots level ?

If they have learned the rules and passed exams it shouldn’t matter what job they have done in the past .
