Carlisle make the long trip south to Portsmouth this week having won four of their last six matches, with Portsmouth winning one game in their last six. The last time these two last met was in the 2012/13 season in which Carlisle won their home game 4-2 whilst the game at Portsmouth ended 1-1.

Mark Gillespie (Groin) is still out for Carlisle, along with Billy Paynter (Unknown) and Stephen Elliott (Achilies.) It's also likely that defenders Troy Archibald-Henville, Paul Thirlwell and Sean O'Hanlon will miss out due to picking up knocks in the game against Burton. Steven Rigg may return to the Carlisle side and whilst Derek Asamoah has a slight hamstring injury, it's likely he will be in the squad for Keith Curle's team. Jack Whatmough has been passed fit to play for Portsmouth, but Danny East (groin) and Adam Webster (knee) remained sidelined along with Wes Fogden.

It's almost certain that Curle will stick with 4-4-2 for Carlisle, with only a fee changes. I would expect new loan signing Tom Anderson to slot in at Centre-half alongside Courtney Meppen-Walter meaning that Danny Grainger can play in his usual position of left back instead if Pat Brough. I would expect David Amoo to come into the side for the injured Stephen Elliott, although he think he will play on the right with Brad Potts moving to the left. Portsmouth will more than likely match up with Carlisle's 4-4-3 but the only change may be Jack Whatmough coming back into the squad after injury.

A tough one to call this one, but i will go for 1-1.
