Stolen from the L2 forum.
I’m aware some teams have made far more signings than others, but with pre-season underway for everyone I’d imagine, let’s have a look at how you could be lining up for the first game of the season!

GK - Mike Cooper

CB - James Bolton
CB - James Wilson
CB - Macaulay Gillesphey

RWB - Joe Edwards
LWB - George Cooper (maybe injured)

CDM - Jordan Houghton
CM - Danny Mayor
CM - Conor Grant

ST - Ryan Hardie
ST - Niall Ennis

We could do with another wing back on either side, and another midfielder or two, possibly loans. Also a striker, as we currently only have 3.

Callum Paterson

It looks decent enough at the moment but we’re in desperate need of a left back. Galvin is the only one at the club and has only played once, at Exeter in the FA Cup. Suspect Windass will be off as well.

We're not having loan players this season but I think the LWB spot will be given to Brendan Galloway if he signs or to Ryan Law.

This is our potential starting line up based on our current players. 4-3-3 attacking and 4-5-1 when defending. We are still expected to sign another CB,CM and striker x2 so this will change.

GK Dimi Mitov

RB George Williams
CB Lloyd Jones
CB Greg Taylor
LB Harrison Dunk

CM Liam O'Neil
CM Wes Hoolahan
CM Paul Digby

RW Jack Lankester
ST Joe Ironside
LW James Brophy

There’s not much point doing ours because I am expecting 5-6 new players still to come in, though we do have a reasonable squad as things stand already.

We need at least one keeper, 2-3 attacking options and probably a RB/CH utility type of player.

I can’t see George C being fit, in which case at the moment you have the most logical two. I am not totally sure we won’t have loans completely. If once the season starts we get injuries I could see Lowe going to one or two if necessity requires. I also would suspect he will start with Jephcott, and probably Hardie drops to the bench, but pre-season against the league teams will tell us more of his thinking.

As things stand I'd go with:

GK: Andy Fisher

RCB: Warren O'Hora
CB: Harry Darling
LCB: Dean Lewington

RWB: Daniel Harvie
LWB: Josh Martin

CM: David Kasumu
CM: Ethan Robson
CAM: Scott Fraser
CAM: Matt O'Riley

ST: Charlie Brown

Though that doesn't take into account the three centre midfielders (Surman, Gladwin and McEachran) that might resign with us, and I fully expect us to bring in a wing back either side and a couple of strikers. Josh Martin is also more of a winger than a wing back, but I can see us looking at those players being more attacking than defending this year.

It’s genuinely so difficult to pick our starting xi this season. The first one of each row is what I think we will go with but we have really good depth this season and we will rotate a lot. I don’t think we will have a first XI as such. I still think there are a few loans to come in too. Hopefully a comfortable mid table season. Higher than that is a bonus. Lower and it’s a bad season.

At the moment thats all we have in terms of first team players. Still missing either a RW or a number 10 depending where Harness ends up playing.

Still need another forward at least (depending if Harrison goes) LB, RB, Cover CB, 2 more central midfielders and a couple of attacking midfielders.

That's if we were to kick-off today. We're expecting at least a big forward - talk of Sam Smith, who did well for us last season on loan from Reading and is now a free agent, and we're also expecting an attacking midfielder. A couple of loanees wouldn't be a surprise either, with Duff and Mickey Moore being very successful in the loan market since they came in.

As it stands for now:
GK: Louis Jones
RB: Kyle Knoyle
CB: Ro-Shaun Williams
CB: Tom Anderson (Captain)
LB: Tommy Rowe
DM: Anthony Greaves
DM: ?
RM: Matt Smith
CM: Ben Close
LM: John Bostock/ Fejeri
STR: Omar Bogle/ Fejeri Okenhibirie

Definitely another Keeper, Left Winger to come in. John Taylor when fit on the right side plus 2 or 3 are to be shipped out to allow another 2 in especially a DM. Probably look a lot different come the first game.

The problem is our squad is way too heavy...Apart from the 19 you have mentioned i expect Joel Dixon and Harry Brockbank to be in the first team squad. Tutte to get a few games here and there.
Gordon,,Greenidge Comley need to move on and Darcy,Edwards and Senior need to move out on loan
I expect Amaechi to make RW spot his own

That won’t be the XI though. I’d expect a new CB, a 10 and a winger in the team by August. Possibly a new RB and CM as well. Squad is currently at 16 seniors, but I’d imagine a few will also leave either on loan or permanently.

Can just about field a first 11 at the moment. Bazunu GK hasn't been able to play pre season yet due to a quad injury so

GK Alex Bass
RB Kieron Freeman
RCB Sean Raggett
LCB Clark Robertson
LB Lee Brown
DM Shaun Williams
RW Marcus Harness
CM Ryan Tunnicliffe
LW Ronan Curtis
CF John Marquis
CF Glasson Ahadme

Bench: GK Gavin Bazunu, RB Callum Johnson, CB Paul Downing, FW Ellis Harrison, Hadj Mnoga youth RB, Michael Jacobs LW (played 10 mins pre season) Jayden Reid FW

That is literally all our contracted players barring a young LB who is out for a while. No first * year " pros at all.

I've had to squeeze players in there to make a decent XI really. I suspect we're still going to see 4 in, a couple of fringe senior lads out and then shed the three U18's of the squad and send them out on loan.

Still need a back-up RB and a couple of wide players as a minimum. Desperately need to try and replace the pace of Rogers and in particular Johnson as well.

Not sure what’s going to happen with Sorensen in MF if we also get Teddy Bishop.

Not sure on formation or team because Warne is a hard manager to predict but I'll guess atm without more signings and Smith potentially moving on.

GK: Viktor Johansson
RB: Wes Harding
CB: Michael Ihiekwe
CB: Angus McDonald/ Richard Wood
LB: Joe Mattock/ Shane Ferguson
DM: Dan Barlaser
DM: Jamie Lindsay
RW: Chiedozie Ogbene
CAM: Kieran Sadlier/ Ben Wiles

ST: Freddie Ladapo
