Agree totally always remember us dumping out Leeds in the league cup under him it's just a shame he didn't get us up through the playoffs that season especially against the Cheats.

I'm too young to have been around when he was our manager but all the Stags who weren't have spoken of how exciting his teams were too watch. Sure Dutch spoke really highly of him in his book aswell.

RIP Kingy.

Awful news. From the tributes from our players, it is clear that he was a very popular figure. When he was caretaker manager I will always remember his very honest press conferences delivered with a sense of humour.

I am old enough to remember back in 2003 when he was Swindon Manager and he had a scrap with Martin Wilkinson in the technical area!
