The mighty Rams!!!
first time in what seems like forever we are playing Leeds not on tv and on a 3pm kick off on a Saturday.

With McLaren returning I'm going with a mental score line - 3-1 to the rams.

Tough game. We have a tricky run up to Christmas and this is the worst time to play Derby really. We're harder to beat now thanks to our improved defence so hopefully we can keep it tight and get at least a point here.

Not a chance of us getting anything here.

There's every chance.

Both managers in the stands for this one then (until McLaren moves down anyway). Thankfully Mrs Clotet has given birth so it won't just be Beattie on his own down there!

I'll go for 1-1 and I think I'd take that.

Whilst it'd be nice to start his reign with the same outcome as last time against Leeds, a point for either team won't be a bad one.
He's only got 48 hours to try and install confidence and some kind of game plan which is isn't ideal.

Score draw too, 2-2.

I'm a lot more positive that McClaren is in charge, but he's got to undo some of the work Clement and subsequently Pearson has done first.

I do fancy us to be a little more intense in our approach and hopefully get ourselves on the right tracks. I'm looking forward to it.

I presume you make shit loads of money betting against Derby then James?

Bookies a lot less confident than you are about us... 4/1 not a bad price for us to win in your eyes then?

I'd be a millionaire if I gambled.

Dallas will be injured for this one so not sure who'll draft in on the left...possibly Mowatt which is a bit shit but highly doubt he'll trust Roofe's defensive discipline from the start.

Green

Ayling Bartley Jansson Taylor

Phillips O'Kane

Sacko Hernandez Mowatt

Wood
Keep it tight, quieten the crowd, and then nick it. Cheers lads.

Considering we're the worst goalscoring team in England and we're playing at home, the first two are a given!
You just need to be able to nick it on your part, we'll do ours of presenting the opportunity.

I'll be surprised if we cruise through this game no matter what you lot say. If I was pushed, I'd definitely have a home win as the most likely result.

Our team as expected. Don't care what you say, any side with the attacking players in Derby's XI are to be feared, even if they haven't scored much this season.

But another no-show would be nice :hesk:

How the fuck haven't we got a point there. No idea what Derby were playing at at 1-0, just inviting us onto them like that.

It's a team severely low on confidence and I imagine the emphasis was on keeping the three points, which we did (just). I have to say Vydra didn't look offside for his goal, though. I guess it was the camera angle, but I'd like to see it again.

The building blocks are certainly back, McClaren's got a lot of work to do to rid the impact Clement and Pearson had in their time here, but I think today shows we allowed the players a certain freedom. I thought some of the passing between the players, at times, showed we're looking to get on the right tracks. There's a long way to go.

I just noticed it was McClaren's 96th game in charge of Derby and his 52nd win. I'd say that's a pretty incredible record, which hopefully improves over the course of the season.

Good three points against a Leeds side that looks to be their best in a decade.

Yeah I understand that...hugely frustrating at the end for us, thought Antonsson's shot was in which was pretty gutting and Bartley should have scored before HT.

Annoying cos that's two away games in Bristol City and today we should have got a point as we're winning at home for a change so a point away is good.

I thought Vydra did look half a yard off but yeah the camera angle was poor.

We're definitely the best we've been for a while but sadly our creative outlets Sacko and Hernandez were both poor in possession so we struggled until were gifted the ball towards the end. O'Kane was absolutely outstanding though - what an engine that boy has.

Pretty disappointed right now but when I think back to seasons gone by where we've been beaten without a trace of a performance I've got to remember we're a work in progress and I've faith in the staff here so long as they're given a full chance of continuing the job.

Anyway, good chance to get back on the horse on Tuesday against Wigan so three points are vital there if we want to cling onto the top 6-8.

Can't say we didn't present you with opportunity! I think if that Bartley chance in the second half falls to anyone a bit sharper in front of goal we'd have been punished there too.

Sounds much better but a long way to go. First win at home now off our backs, hopefully we can double that Tuesday.

Echo what SPP says re Macca's record, not too bad for a clown. I'm not really one to get bothered by run of the mill pundits but Savage, Shearer and Carra have all wrote articles damning him which have annoyed me. I'd love it Keegan style if we shove those words back down their egotistic mouths! Ryan Giggs? Fuck off.

Up the Rams.

Why do Leeds fans sing about keeping the white flag flying high?

White flags are the sign of surrender. Thick twats.

Miracles do happen, it seems.

I'd forgot what a win felt like.
