Read This to Opt Out Of Email Notifications

Hi All,

To comply with GDPR, we will be changing our approach in terms of any "opt-in" marketing content you receive.

From today, we will be utilising the Private Message facility to contact users as opposed to direct email.

These messages are sent on-site through our website, and therefore do not require opt-in/opt-in permissions like emails do.

However, as standard, you will receive an email notification when you receive private messages or "PM's" here on TFF.

If you wish to opt out of these, simply go to Preferences (click me), and untick one, or both of the following options;

• Receive news and update emails
• Receive email when a new conversation message is received

Can we opt out of the PMs?

There is no standard functionality in Xenforo to disable PM's user-side.
There is also no requirement for any SPAM or 'Opt In' as it's all conducted on our website.

I will however, due to this recent change in strategy, look into custom coding an option to disable.

I'll update this thread in the coming days.
