Woke up today to the sad news that Arnold Palmer "The King" had passed away at 87 years old. Golfing legend and will be missed greatly. Part of the reason I'm so mad on the game.

A true great of sport not just of the game of golf.

There hasn't been anyone who had such a huge influence on shaping the modern game and it's very unlikely anyone else will ever come close. A huge loss, very sad.

RIP :(

A massive loss of a real sporting icon, a man who did everything to make golf the modern game it is now. Everyone who has made money playing the game owes him a huge debt of gratitude.

RIP Arnie, The King.

A true gentleman of sport, which is sadly lacking in many sports these days; and a great ambassador of the game. RIP Arnold Palmer.
