I thought that we defended pretty well on Saturday against MKD, up to the point where we presented them with a goal on a silver platter...after that we were never likely to get anything from the game.

Yeah defensively we've been good in most games, but other than at Crewe we've offered nothing at the other end. That has to change if we want to win games.

We played with 2 youngsters (Austerfield and Holicek) in centre midfield, one (Holicek) of whom is more of a tricky winger/attacking player and we got massively over run in midfield.

We still played well though.

You did, and fair play to you. On another day we could have easily got 3 goals ourselfs in the 2nd half, we did everything but score. But as I said at the time, fair play to your lot for keeping the ball out of the net, something we were incapable of.

Can't we just give Barrow the 1-0 win and not actually bother with the game?

Ironically we might have no other choice than do something similar this weekend, as we're riddled with injuries and Lewis Leigh, who's been playing well recently and inexplicably got dropped vs FGR got sent off last night so is now banned until the play offs, should we reach them.

That bunker looked busy last night, looked a bit meh (hard to judge on 1 game) but certainly plenty of energy and effort.

Rovers missing 6 first team regulars plus Yarney, left us with only 1 central defender, so Ben Hockenhull, who's never played a FL match recalled from loan at Southport and quite likely to make his debut at the weekend. Lucky this game doesn't matter but Newport fill your boots...

Still would take a point now if offered.

I’d hope elliott hewitt will be back in defence, but we’re still buggered for options, hopefully we’ll get a bit of luck tomorrow for a change, would certainly be welcomed!

Given the above and with MK being at home at least the pressure is on them, but with 3,600 away fans in tow hopefully the lads can make a big step tomorrow.

Let’s go for 50 arrested tomorrow boys. 30+ last time was pathetic.

The thing is last time was just emotion, and a completely unique scenario.

One team had just won promotion - of course fans are going to run on the pitch, they’re going to be excited, maybe within them a few looking for a bit of “fun”.

On the other hand you’ve just seen your side fuck it up and are pissed off, seeing that is going to be a combustible mix, maybe the police should’ve had some more common sense and realised this within the stadium than leave it on a few stewards to handle.

For me last time it was the police operation which caused the issue mainly in the first place.

Why didn’t we get a warning like that? Might have stopped the no sheepshaggers in Berlin chant?

Mind you it probably wouldn’t have. We had nowt else to sing about that day

The wrexham fan getting that ban was extraordinarily stupid though, remarkable.

I wonder if we need to self report if we sing the 'Sheepshagging bastards we know what we are' song?

All stemmed from this...

NWP have opened a massive can of worms. Be interesting if all 1100 stockport fans who will sing something or other will be arrested and charged for something similar...!
Jesus, that is so pathetic. English bastards FFS. They would have a field day with what I have been called by Scottish fans during the England Scotland 6 nations. (and called them back):bg:

It's obviously ridiculous that people would get banned for it but I must say I find our lot with all the Stick your dragon up your arse and sheep shaggers stuff etc boring as fuck when we play Wrexham, Newport etc. Like they don't hear it every week nor would they actually be offended or care about it.

Pretty tedious stuff all round. Maybe I'm just getting miserable and world weary with the chants these days. Very rarely do you hear original and humorous ones these days.

Of course it’s petty and tedious, that i agree but for it to be called a hate crime is just ridiculous.

We’d call chesterfield sheep shaggers(haven’t been as they’ve been below us for many seasons) but is that not then racist etc. So many holes to pick fault with it’s unreal.

Completely agree it’s cringeworthy, but nobody is actually offended by it so getting in to bother is ridiculous.

Our fans sang "There'll be no sheepshaggers in Berlin" the other day. Fat lot of good it did us!
No reaction I'm aware of from anyone.

PS - must win game for us imho for continued play-off interest.
