Weird how much worse Vale looked tonight then 2 weeks ago at our place, I think other then Harrison the other missing players tonight were out in that game too and they still looked a strong side once they got going.
That’s critical though because Harrison gives us a presence or something to hit and hold up, losing Wilson or Harrison on their own it’s not too bad but losing both is a disaster (with Proctor out since August).

Mipo is raw and young and Butterworth isn’t a wide man.

Connor Hall leaving left us a big presence at the back as well which we need to fill.

If you take three main senior strikers out of any league one side they would struggle and that was the case tonight. Looks like could be a difficult two or three weeks without them by the sounds of it.

At 0-0 we are on top but once the goal went in we had no options.

Tom there are a lot of considered posters like yourself who make rational posts in whatever forums. However, we keep seeing a number (admittedly decreasing) comments that come across as entitled, disrespectful and quite frankly myopic. All teams have such fans, but there is a sense amongst many Argo fans that Ipswich have more than their fare share of such peeps. As I say, I think gradually we are getting more fans on your, and other clubs, forums who do say very fair and considered things. FWIW, I think Ipswich are a good side, but a draw was fair and if Hardie had his head over the ball we could have won.

Btw, my point above is not criticising viewpoints that we might fall away. This is a perfectly reasonable and coherent opinion, though one our recent additions may temper.

Today was a great game of football, I enjoyed it, a really positive advert for league one football. Surely even Wotan with his one eye could see this? To say Ipswich dominated is utter flapdoodle.
I had a nose on your forum a week or two ago and there was a lot of hatred aimed at us. Nonsense about us fans thinking we have some divine right to be in the premier league. That’s just not the case. Under 25s like me have never seen us be promoted in our lifetime (well unless you count when we were toddlers I suppose). We just happen to be enjoying playing good football again after years of misery.

Because we have a large fanbase in respect to this league that suddenly there’s accusations of arrogance and delusion which is unfair.

99% of our fans said a draw was fair. Which it was. All fans have people deluded.

One of our fans on here said we ‘dominated‘. That’s delusion.
One of your fans said you were ‘better (by some distance)’. That’s delusion.

A draw was the fair result. You were the first team since Bolton in august who at least tried to play football though. I left pissed off but at least appreciative of the fact it was a good game between two very decent sides.

I haven’t bothered going back on Pasoti after that visit a week or so ago but hopefully going forward not every every other thread will be about us and slagging us off but I won’t hold my breath.

Are you sure that there were not posts on this forum earlier that used the D word?
I know that your broad point about fair comments being made is correct, but it grates to hear such errant nonsense about dominating from some, especially the first comments on today’s game on this forum.
Surely the point is that it would be a tiny minority saying that. You can’t judge our fan base on one comment. Or two comments perhaps. Likewise we won’t judge your whole fan base on the poster in this thread who claimed you dominated by some distance. And we won’t judge your whole fan base on the idiot arrested at the game for exposing himself when you scored as I saw the police confirmed today. Or judge your whole fanbase on the bottle thrown by one idiot that hit one of our young fans in the seating below. You just cannot judge an entire group of people on the actions of a small group. It happens a lot in society these days. In fact with football fans we as a group are chucked in together by non-football folk when there’s crowd trouble as all being the same and its ridiculous.

A draw was right. Neither team dominated.
