Get used to it in time for your visit to us.
Still got tickets available for this, but anything over 2k would be seriously good. No trains running and Xmas time, still blows my mind on how many we take!

We’ve nearly sold out already. Should be about 13,000

Erm, why?
Because they always get oddly excited when announcing that a crowd is the home team’s highest of the season.

15 years in the pub league breeds a few insecurities I suppose.

Stockport at home.

I was really looking forward to this game a few weeks ago, but now not so much after what's happened.

However we may have turned a corner after the big win at Wycombe last weekend, who knows?!? Tough game.

Crewe will be a tough game. They are doing very well this season. Better than I expected in all honesty. Obviously the Artell factor will have them up for it. I'm going for a point and I will happily take it against one of the best teams in the league.

Haha, hilarious. In all seriousness, this one makes me nervous. Any other manager in charge at Grimsby and I'd be confident of getting a result, but him being in charge is a real leveller. Both sides will be bang up for it though.

I'd imagine we'll go mostly unchanged from Sutton. Maybe bring Rowe back in for Nevitt. Tabiner and Long were pictured doing leg exercises earlier this week, so it gives me confidence that they have recovered from their thigh and foot injuries respectively. Hopefully 1 or both of them can be on the bench, would be a massive boost.

I'm going for a narrow 2-1 defeat and I'd probably take a draw if offered, but hopefully we can upset Artell in his first home game and beat them. Would be sweet.

Might be wrong but I'd be surprised if either Long or Tabiner are ready for the weekend.

Realistically though, how many players that played under Artell are likely to start? If Long is injured then is it just Adebisi? Not saying Bell won't have them up for it, but that's because he seems to know what he's doing as opposed to it being some big grudge match for your players.

Our first two performances under Artell have been encouraging, I'm really surprised with how drastic the shift in style has been. It was immediate too, with the first half of the MK Dons match being arguably our best 45 of the season so far. Hopefully the progression continues on Saturday against another tough opponent. Given the two clubs' positions in the league, I think I'd be happy with a point but ultimately you want that first win for your new manager to come quickly so it'll be (rather unfairly) disappointing to not get three points here.

I thought that you Crewe lot all loved Artell?
Seems an odd one to an outsider. Artell got Crewe promoted, then finished around 12th(?) but seems to be vilified for being poor & getting relegated when most of his team moved on?

Will Crewe take many to Blundell Park? 6/700?

Coming down for this one, never been, where's best to park? I've read the school but the price is a little steep, and the hill i've heard so many times its a killer to walk up to.

If you get there early enough there is often street parking on the housing estate around the top of the hill. Otherwise you've got the school, parking in town and bussing it or if you're fit enough walking up Spring Hill.

There is usually park and ride running from Renishaw's GL5 5HA too, £3 card/contactless only.

If we'd just been relegated with a bit of a fight, he'd probably still be in charge now.

It wasn't just that we were relegated, it was the fact that we were historically bad and pretty much every decision he made was the wrong one. The recruitment was worse than awful, he refused to pick our best player because of a contract dispute, team selection and tactics were ridiculous at times. I'm not going to pretend I know exactly what went on behind the scenes but he decided he couldn't trust his own coaching staff and alienated them too. I like him as a bloke - he's very interesting and intelligent and he'll rightly be remembered as a legend at the club for everything he achieved as a player and manager (the 2020 promotion team played the best football we've seen since the peak Gradi years) but I hope he's learned a few lessons from that last season - he won't succeed as a manager if he hasn't.

I'm not great at predicting away followings but I doubt we'll take as many as 600 to Grimsby in December.

Swindon at home. Form up and down for both teams so I wouldn't like to predict a scoreline.

I'll be selling programmes in the away end so do come and say hello.

Cashless stadium, don't forget.

I think it will be a Saturday morning call. Not sure whether we had the pitch covered from the deep snow (all forecasters massively underestimated it) or not without having a game last weekend but obviously that's melted now. However it's pissed it down today, due to for most of the day tomorrow and then again from 9am Saturday right through to the evening. If it's saturated early Saturday morning and given the forecast from that point there could be some doubts.

Artell's pre-match has dropped and it's had a disproportionately high amount of hits in Cheshire this week for some reason.

Game off. Good to see Barrow call it off so early to stop our fans from making their trips up, but the bad news is that our longest trip of the season is now going to be a midweek escapade.
