Our first dead rubber game. Nothing to play for except pride. With nothing at stake, I wonder if Egypt will risk the clearly not fit Salah when there is nothing to gain? Can’t imagine Liverpool will be happy if they do.

Anyone going to watch this one? Anyone care?

Mo Salah gives Egypt the lead - Egypt`s first goal from open play at a world cup since 1934!

Penalty award to Saudi Arabia went to VAR and quite a while before it was confirmed (actually thought it was very soft). 1-1 halftime.

Not sure if anybody is watching this but I have both games on split screen and this has been eventful.

Egypt`s goalkeeper saved a penalty before Saudi were awarded a very dodgy second peanlty and a ridiculously long VAR review and their level at 1-1.

and VAR passed it back to the ref to view the screens to make a decision which he confirmed as a penalty surprise surprise.

Saudi's gave Uruguay their hardest game in the group, and then beat Egypt. Lol at all those fuckwits saying they were the worst team at the tournament based on seeing them once. At least 3 sides are worse, maybe more. They are no mugs.

fucks sake Egypt, beaten by a fucking pub team

Unlucky my adopted team! No shame in that Egypt, good game. Only beaten by a well drilled, quite decent KSA side. Shame the Saudis were thrashed by a cheating Russia side in the opening game, I reckon they could've gone far (QF? Semis?) otherwise.

This result is potentially more embarrassing for Egypt than exploiting their best player by whoring him out to human rights violating dictators.

They were never the worst team at the tournament, just had very little quality. Beating Egypt means very little though as they’re atrocious.

Egypt have put a complaint in against the ref who was the same useless idiot who officiated England v Tunisia - Wilmar Rodan from Columbia.
