No idea how this will finish - Scunthorpe the home side and probably favourites, us the draw specialists or us in decent enough form against one on a bad(ish) run to find an away win.

Goalie Doyle was on Irelands bench Vs Wales and should fly back to play but Cullen (arguably our best midfielder) has captained Ireland's U21 side for 90 mins this afternoon, he's also coming back but can't see him playing, expect Nicky Law to come back from injury and start instead.

Doyle
McMahon McArdle Knight-Percival Meredith
Marshall Vincelot Clarke Law
Jones Wyke

Probably won't be 442 as above and we might start Dieng in midfield for a bit more cover.

Prediction? 2-2

We've won 1 game in 10 and we look horrific, we're really not the favourites to win. Think we will lose 2-0.

Where do you park at Scunny?

That's if my car makes it, coolant lights have been flashing most of the week and it's a 2 hour 20 minute drive for me....

There's a travelodge/Pizza Hut area next to the ground you can park in but that gets quite busy. You can park at Tesco for 3 hours too.

I'd take a point, we have a couple of key players out and a young loanee lad is making his debut in defence in a massive game.

Having seen our patched team I'd happily take a point

Not just saying this, but this is the worst I've seen us play this season.

Cracking game. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Good win for Scunthorpe.

Hope the Doncaster v Plymouth one is more of the same!

Christ. Doyle should've stayed in Ireland.

Another one for the 'how have we not won' list, unfortunately the answer being us not being good enough - 22 shots, Clarke misses another sitter stood on his own, we missed an open goal with the keeper stranded, Vince hit the bar, Meredith found a defenders leg who's laid out on his back from 3 yards, Daniels saved one without a clue what's going on... as soon as the team was announced you felt today wasn't going to be our day, then we lose three goals to the only three shots on target - so poor, the defending at the two set pieces was embarrassing. The only positive is I'd fancy us to beat them in the PO's as I don't think we could be as wasteful again with the likes of Law, Cullen and NKP back in defence.

Was only right that the one time we are on TV we miss a load of chances and concede a few fuck ups to drop points. It's been the story of our season. We weren't going to get autos anyway and I still think we will make the play offs so I'm not that fussed.

He's been class, scored two massive winners too.

Strange game, we looked in full control at the start of the game until Bradford scored two out of nothing. They had like 3 shots in the first half and scored 2. Second half was a completely different story, they had about 20 and somehow scored none. Huge win that we can hopefully build on.

Is Mark Marshall always that bad?

Only watched the second half but he was awful, couldn't control the ball, runs absolutely nowhere with the ball, outmuscled and a couple of loose passes straight to a Scunthorpe player.

No is the short answer. He's been one of our best players.

Frustrating though, we do see the times where he constantly runs into a dead end a bit too often for my liking.

I've been to 50% of our defeats this season and only one game (Shrewsbury) where I've come away thinking 'well that was shit'. Should have won yesterday as we all know, defend like that and we won't be going anywhere fast!

He's been less frustrating than most wingers we've had for a while. Less than Reid and Morais who's got 712 assists for. Bolton now he's trying to earn a new contract. Having said that I can't remember us having a good winger for years and we've had the likes of Hanson and McMahon playing there at various points so maybe I've forgotten what a good one looks like.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong he's fantastic and a revelation this season. It's just sometimes you want him to beat his man, which he's more than capable of and then whip in his cross straight away. That's what annoyed me most about him yesterday.

Adam Reach was good for the short time we had him, but regards to our player longer term probably Jermaine Johnson. Marshall's still an improvement on Reid, no one will match Beagrie from my time watching City though.

Beagrie was one of my favourite players (did well for Scunny too coincidentally). If we had someone as good as he was then he would be moving up the leagues anyway, with or more likely without us. If a winger can consistently beat a man and deliver a good ball then he is basically Championship-worthy.
