Winning 1-0 due to a JET penalty, Scunthorpe have had TWO keepers injured and currently have a CB in goal... We'll lose 2-1 :D

A disgrace if we don't win this with a GD boost.

Big 3 points in what sounded like very tough conditions. Didn't sound like we were at our best but we can grind out results, which is one thing I love about this side.

Read the scunny forum and they ain't happy atall, apparently freeman spat at their fans and our second goal shouldnt of stood. Shame bottadega ain't here yet to give his view.

Certainly out of character from Freeman if true, we'll have to see whether it can be proved. If it is, a large ban will be put in place I imagine. Not what we need right now given how key he is in the side.

Hope the freeman spitting rumour isn't true, any player guilty of spitting at someone deserves the fine/ban that they get. Does seem out of character for him though

As for the game- a 2-0 win, giving us an 8 point gap over 4th now and keeping on swindons tails with a game in hand, hard to find too much to moan about there.

I was there.

Both keepers were not fouled deliberately - just bad luck for Scunthorpe. Pen was a clear push. Scunthorpe played some good stuff, dominated midfield but Fielding didn't have to make a decent save until we were 2-0 up.

Not sure about the Freeman thing but he denies it.

Sounds like we got a bit lucky today but managed to win which is the important thing.
Let's hope both the Scunny keepers make a full recovery and Robins calms the fook down!!

I saw the FL show last night - they didn't show the first injury on keeper but 2nd definitely not Smith's fault.

Wasn't robins suggesting that smith could of prevented it?

The fans on the scunny forum were definitely suggesting he did it intentionally!

Hopefully the replay proves otherwise. Smith got to the ball first and had the shot, keeper makes save right at his feet and they collide. Happened very fast and no chance he could have got out of the way (not that he had to?!).

If Freeman has spat, quite frankly he's an idiot, and needs tougher skin if he is reacting to opposition crowd remarks.

But.. It does seem very unlike LF, and he is innocent until found guilty.

Nah. Not arguing - just different perspectives!

BTW the Gas seem to be creeping up a bit too close

Haha I was only joking mate, should've added a wink smiley at the end ;)

As far as the Gas go, I'm not concerned as long as we gain promotion. Although it would be nice to see them suffer in that league for years to come

Just seen the highlights.. Showed more than just the goals which was nice.

JET looks simply unplayable at the moment, he's actually running at the defenders rather than walking/jogging and they just don't know what to do! With his current form, he's got to be one of the first names on the team sheet now imo.

As for the second goal keeper being injured, nothing smith could of done to avoid that.

Would to be interested to hear another Scunthorpe perspective on it but they don't seem to have made it here yet?!

On the other hand, there are a good few who say it wasn't intentional.

The way Smith comes across, he doesn't seem like the sort to deliberately hurt someone.

If it was the likes of Joe Garner, then it would be intentional :)

Anyone claiming that Smith deliberately left something on that 'keeper is definitely on the wind up. Absolutely no chance.

Scunthorpe fans can't take a defeat graciously.

Recently every time they've lost the other team has "cheated" in one way or another

Mark Robbins always seems to sound bitter when it comes to losing to us. No one can blame Matt Smith, he can't just dissapear. Sounded comfortable without playing well. Good signs!

I've only seen the goal highlights provided by the club and the FL Show, but they didn't even deem the first collision worthy of a clip. I'd guess if it was even the slightest bit controversial it would have been given airtime. Clearly not definitive but a good rule of thumb?

More interested to see if anything comes from Freeman 'spitting' at the crowd.

No word of an investigation? Thought it sounded very unlikely at the time. Seemed to have gone all quite so assume it was rubbish!
