Well, just as we all predicted, Serbia now only need a win to get out of this group. Put themselves in a strong position, but they'll have to follow up on their Costa Rica win by getting something here, because they won't want to be relying on having to get a result out of their final game with Brazil.

As for Switzerland, a good point against Brazil. Can they build on that with another result here? Would a point do them?

Bit more needle to this match than might be surmised from the outside due to Shaqiri, Xhaka and Behrani all having Kosovan parentage.

Mitrovic has one header saved but then has an opportunity to put one him and he does not pass this one up.

Mitrovic is a great striker. Shame it never worked out for him at Newcastle. Having said that, he can be a bit of a loose cannon.

Can someone why VAR was not used then? Mitrovic was held in front by one player and from behind by another, and then both threw him down. Very very clear penalty. Surely this is what VAR should be for?

Draw might suit the Swiss more with them playing Costa Rica next...

Serbia should have had a penalty as BE says.

There's been some really poor moments of decision making in this game, which seems to have been a major theme of this World Cup - even from the fancied nations.

Shaqiri will have loved scoring the winner against Serbia. In fact both him and Xhaka will.

Really enjoyed that. One of my favourite games of the tournament. Thats curtains for Serbia though.
Hard to beat Spain v Portugal, but it was a really enjoyable end to end game. I liked the look of Serbia, but they’re in trouble now. But it also wouldn’t surprise me if they beat Brazil, they’ll test that defence. It’s getting interesting..

Not a chance. Should be a good game though.

Tbh Brazil is nothing without Neymar. You only need to stop Neymar and they will be down on their knees

I was surprised by the lack of attendance in the stadium given that it was in the mainland Europe

Of course they did. They were booed at every touch of the ball (and the 3rd Kosovo Albanian immigrant, Behrami, too) by the Serbian fans (even before the match when their names were announced).

But they shouldn't provoke the Serbian fans by their celebrations with the "Albanian double Eagle" symbol either. This could cause trouble. I know that they reacted emotional scoring the goals against Serbia but they shouldn't do it.
(and Shaqiri got a yellow card for pulling off his shirt. Stupid! Get another one in the Costa Rica match and you'll be out for the 1st knockout match.

Anyway: I like it that Switzerland won. Gut gemacht, Schweizer!

Now the Serbs have to win against Brazil (and I hope they'll do it ).

Really enjoyed this game last night, leaves it in the balance going into matchday 3, however you'd have to fancy the Brazilians and Swiss to make it through from here.
