I'm very nervous having never before created a thread.
No clever quips, after the fact, just genuine interest from any Pompey fans who been amongst the magnificent 550 that made the trip last night.
FWIW we got the goals at a good time in the first half then set up a great reaguard action that saw our first clean sheet since January. Pompey have some fantastic players, Enda Stevens must be the best left back in this League and maybe even including L1, but for me seemed to over complicate it with so many 'ball players/creatives' on the pitch at one time. Baker, Roberts & Bennett just seemed to get in each others way with all very capable of playing the killer ball but no-one willing to get on the end of it. Oh and just for good measure when making their changes they can bring on the relative quality of Lalkovic, Main & Hunt.....
All that said when they get it right someone is going to take a proper hiding and i fully expect a squad of their qulaity to be knocking on the door of automatics come the business end of the season.
We move on to Yeovil away where we'll hopefully see the return of a few from injury ahead of our EFL Cup 2nd round tie v AFC Bournemouth next Wednesday. I wouldn't put anyone off putting us in their Accas next Wednesday to progress. Might not be in 90 minutes but we'll be a decent price
