It's a joke. Sky have become second fiddle to BT Sport in the Premier League and Champions League coverage so they've set out to ruin the next best thing. Thursday night games are fucking laughable.

i agree Joe and Aaron, the few lads i socialise with we always have good crack at the London games, get advance cheapo train tickets and make a day of it. Sunday not the same due to work on Monday and having already paid for a train ticket i now can,t use i aint assed on the Sunday to pay again. Typically it is the only ground in this League i aint been to. My argument with this is why one rule for one and one for another, we were made to play Thurs Sat by the FL yet on this occasion we jump ship to Sunday .Some smart alec on the Vale forum said why buy tickets in advance in case the game gets called off, i may be wrong but would imagine Millwall have undersoil heating anyway so that would never of been the case. Yet again supporters made to pay but i must admit Joe yours is far far worse, farcical.

There's been an increase in Thursday football league games this season I've noticed (although I know this is JPT). Hate it when side's play on Thursday though, it's the one day where we don't have football (well Europa League, but who pays attention to that), and it's just nice. Thursday is a really odd day, but then again there's nothing else on aside from PL Darts in the Spring, so you can understand why Sky in particular are targeting it as a day to increase ratings. Might not like it, but it makes sense.

It's poor and annoying to a degree that we were forced to play Thursday then 40 hours later although we won both so luckily didn't harm our form.

Thankfully we don't have this trouble. Been a few (five?) years since a regular league game of ours was on TV.

It's always the fans that suffer because the TV companies, FL, FA and premier league don't give a fuck about us, the flip side of this is that as fans we are the first to moan when our clubs aren't buying x,y and z. The only way things will change is when people stop subscribing to sky and bt, fuck all chance of that though.

Until people stop paying for all this shite then they will rule the roost.

I pay my tv licence and that's it. I took sky off in protest .

It's time others took a stand, or else this will carry on. We can't moan if we are not prepared to change it.

Because you also had a game on the Tuesday, so there would have been 2 days between games at one point whatever happened. You beat us anyway so stop moaning :)

I think the main annoyance is the fans who have purchased cheaper advanced rail tickets which are now useless has caused the main upset to be honest. The FL or TV companies should reimburse fans in that situation but I dare say they wont! We have a fan from Sweden booked to fly over I believe also so hopefully he isn't booked to fly back Sunday!

Petition our players for compensation, for being selfish fuckers and winning at Southend.

That is where you are wrong cos had you agreed then Blackpool was going back to weds not Tues, anyway we helped get rid of useless turd Saunders so did you a favour. My actual complaint is i have lost £32 and can,t get my money back, Millwall can play Thurs Sat also if we had to end of.

What Sky have done to football irritates me greatly. However, it's not quite that simple.

I have a Sky Sports subscription mainly to watch the cricket and the golf, I occasionally watch the football on Sky but mostly I don't.

Unfortunately until Sky allow the subscriber to pick and choose the sports they want from within their sports package this is the only way I can watch what I want to watch and I don't want to cut off my nose to spite my face.

Unless you stream it for free like so many others do.
Sky will never let you pick and choose. They want the 70 quid a month.
I find ways round it. I refuse to pay £800 a year. That's a holiday.

Indeed, Sky is a firking rip off. Fortunately i've never took the plunge but the amounts they charge some of my mates is eye watering.

When the away Ashes series go over to BT there's going to be a few cancelled subscriptions i reckon, they seem to be losing quite a lot of output to them. The fact Sky go mental about the fucking Darts tells you all you need to know about the current wealth of their offering.

We played Walsall at 6pm on the Sunday after our area final against Bristol C had been moved to the Thursday night.

This upcoming Wigan game is a pain for two reasons
a) I had planned to go on the original date
b) I now have to hope that wherever I am playing pool on the Thursday night has Sky, which is quite unlikely

Christ, a team that just likes to kick people about against a team that likes being on the floor. That'll be just wonderful to watch....

Sky are the only people that do At The Races, which is one of very few things keeping me with them. I think my Sky bill is around 70 quid a month. That's for TV, Internet and phone line but it's still daylight robbery

Do you have sky sports? Although you find it with the sports channels I don't think that ATR comes as part of the sports pack but with the entertainment channels.

Leeds in the 2007-08 season.

I always laughed at Sky's baffling decision during our JPT run.

Leyton Orient vs Southend 1st leg in front of 5000 odd people.

Coventry vs Crewe 1st leg in front of 31000 people.

Guess which game Sky chose to broadcast... :ffs:
