Not sure how we're still level at the break, but hopefully we're able to break them down in the second half.

A lot is being made of Swansea losing Bony and Sigurdsson missing out through suspension. But Swansea are showing us a little too much respect. There's an opportunity for them today if they show a little ambition. We're missing Schneiderlin, Wanyama and Alderweireld in the defensive unit alongside a few other injuries which has only enabled us to name six subs.

3 points is a must today given the teams we're competing with all won this weekend.

Always a danger when you don't put your chances away.

Shelvey is such an enigma. Almost comically bad one game, and then the next he goes and does something like this...

Sometimes I'm sorry we sold him, but most of the time it's obvious why he was never good enough.

There was an amazing moment in the first half where two players headed the ball at the exact same time and both bounced off it comically. I hope someone made a GIF.

I think that is probably a red. Oliver looked influenced by the Swansea bench though.

Crap performance from us. Knew we'd fail to win when JWP missed that sitter in the first half.

Thought Forster could of done better for their goal tbh.

I think that's a red regardless of the Swansea bench? Bertrand would have won the ball if he kept his feet on the ground, he misses it because he goes above it. My understanding is that is a straight red and the result of the challenge. The Swansea player going off backs up why you can't go in over the ball.

It was a bit of a smash and grab from Swansea, they defended brilliantly particularly Williams, he played as well as a centre back can. The Shelvey goal was brilliant and I do feel he's much better further up the pitch. Difficult for him to get a game there though as Sigurdsson has that place nailed down.

I suspect more and more teams are going to park the bus against Southampton. They've had such a great season and more and more teams will see a point against them as a point gained rather than 2 dropped.

Cracking goal to win it - just felt it was coming with Saints passing up so many chances.

Great result and from a Liverpool old boy, cheers Shelvey! Man Utd, Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal are very happy with that.
