Nicked from League One.

Goalkeepers

Anders Lindegaard
Chris Maxwell
Matthew Hudson

Not a huge Lindegaard fan but he's capable enough, should benefit from a full pre-season with the defence. Don't know much about Maxwell but has to be better backup than Kirkland, Hudson will be loaned out.

Defenders

Callum Woods
Clive Smith
Tom Clarke
Paul Huntington
Bailey Wright
Tommy Spurr
Greg Cunningham
Ben Davies

Our defence is solid, Woods and Cunningham are a quality pair of fullbacks and Tommy Spurr should be a good addition. Our centre backs have shown they're more than capable at this level but they do lack pace and their distribution (or lack of) is frustrating.

Midfield

Chris Humphrey
Ben Pearson
Paul Gallagher
Daniel Johnson
Alan Browne
Liam Grimshaw
John Welsh
Adam Robinson
Ben Pringle
Callum Robinson

Think we're looking very strong in the middle this season, Paul Gallagher would walk into the majority of sides in this league imo, Daniel Johnson is a big goal threat and Ben Pearson gives us some bite, with Alan Browne giving us a box-to-box option. Good options. Ben Pringle could be a big player for us too and will give us some extra width. Yet to see this Grimshaw but supposedly he can cover several positions and loves a tackle.

Strikers

Jermaine Beckford
Joe Garner
Simon Makeinok
Eoin Doyle
Jordan Hugill
Stevie May

We missed Beckford badly last season, he will score goals for us, no doubt about that, scored 2 in 4 starts on his return at the end of last season. Garner is Garner, 100% graft and a bastard to play against, his confidence looked like it was on the floor last season though. Makeinok gives us an out and out targetman option, Doyle and Hugill will be options off the bench and May won't be back until November time.

Potential Starting Eleven

Lindegaard
Woods, Clarke, Wright, Cunningham
Pearson, Gallagher, Pringle
Johnson
Garner, Beckford
Hard to predict a line-up as we switch from a back four to a back three frequently, Humphrey and Robinson would also allow us to go to a traditional 4-4-2 as well. Plenty of options.

Included youth players who could realistically be involved.

Goalkeepers:
Ali Al-Habsi
Jonathan Bond

Both are a bit erratic and capable of a mistake, but Al-Habsi was our Player of the Season last year so no point in strengthening unless it is a clear large improvement.

Defenders:
Chris Gunter
Paul McShane
Jordan Obita
Niall Keown
Jake Cooper
Robert Dickie
Danzell Gravenberch

I think our first choice back four is enough to avoid the drop, despite it's problems. We need anothe fullback who can challenge for a first team spot. will definitely need a couple if Gunter leaves. Would like another challenging CB but not sure if that will happen.

Midfielders:
George Evans
Oliver Norwood
Garath McCleary
Paolo Hurtado
Stephen Quinn
Danny Williams
Aaron Kuhl
Jack Stacey
Tarique Fosu
Josh Barrett
Joey van den Berg

Left Tshibola out as he is almost certainly out, but i'm happy with our CM options currently, definitely our best position for squad depth. Williams and Norwood rumoured away, think we could just about handle losing one of them. Wings is a massive problem for us, McCleary our only senior pro as Hurado will surely leave. Fosu has the talent but too early to be reliant on him as first choice. Need at least one good proven winger.

Forwards:
Deniss Rakels
Yann Kermorgant
Dominic Samuel
Joseph Mendes

Our problem area last season, and doubt we've improved so far with Mendes in for Vydra. Samuel back after a couple of seasons on loan in League 1 to hopefully break into the team. Still will continue to say if we don't sign a proven goalscorer we'll get relegated. Can't stay up if you can't score goals.

Potential starting Eleven:
Al-Habsi
Gunter McShane Cooper Obita
Williams Norwood Quinn
McCleary Rakels Fosu

Not good enough.

Goalkeepers:

Rob Green
Marco Silvestri
Ross Turnbull
Bailey Peacock-Farrell

Silvestri on his way out. Green hopefully adequate number 1 before BPF can stake a claim after another year or two with the development squad. Business done here.

Defenders:

Gaetano Berardi
Sol Bamba
Kyle Bartley
Liam Cooper
Lewie Coyle
Charlie Taylor

All depends on whether Taylor leaves. If not, we have two of the best full backs in the league so no issue there, with Coyle an able and promising deputy. Definitely need another centre-half as Bamba can go from the sublime to the ridiculous and Bartley hasn't come here with glowing reviews. Still needs work or we're going to be conceding a fair amount next year I'd imagine.

Midfielders:

Stuart Dallas
Toumani Diagouraga
Matt Grimes
Alex Mowatt
Luke Murphy
Kalvin Phillips
Ronaldo Vieira
Jordan Botaka
Hadi Sacko

Much depends on where we play people here and the formation. Dallas is a good player on either side and it's a shame we've lost the holding partnership of Diagouraga and Cook, which are a nice couple to have in front of the defence. Obviously going to get a couple more in and there's a good chance we'll get Bridcutt back in to fill that role. The other centre-mids will be fighting for the other spot(s)...Mowatt can hopefully rediscover his best form under Monk and we'll have to see about Grimes. Slight concern about Botaka and Sacko potentially not being good as that would leave us short out wide. Fair chance we'll see Roofe there anyway. A creative mid and a holding mid still needed.

Strikers:

Chris Wood
Marcus Antonsson
Kemar Roofe
Souleymane Doukara
Lee Erwin

Wood obviously still our number 9 and I'm happy enough with that. Not a very good finisher but we're much better with him in the team and with the right service can bag 20 this year for us. Antonsson looks a fair Antenucci replacement if he can translate his form from Sweden and Roofe is obviously a good signing. Doukara and Erwin not good enough really and both could leave so still need to bring someone in here.

Potential Starting XI:

Obviously likely to change with more players to come but literally with the squad as we have it, something like this...

Green

Berardi. Bartley, Cooper, Taylor

Diagouraga, Grimes

Roofe, Mowatt, Dallas

Wood
Also could play Roofe more centrally and play one of the wingers on one side if they impress. Wouldn't expect Grimes to play that deep either so replace with a new signing most likely. If we keep Taylor and bring in a solid centre-half, our XI won't look too bad. Much depends on how well the unknown and unproven signings go, otherwise we could be short in depth.

Goalkeepers:

Davies has firmly established himself as number 1. This league an obvious step up but he has been outstanding in League 1 and I'm happy with him between the sticks .Townsend adequate back-up.

Defenders:
James Bree
Marc Roberts
Lewin Nyatanga
Alfie Mawson
Jack Cowgill
Aidy White
Andy Yiadom
Matty Templeton

Massively inexperienced at this level but they're great as a unit and have played together for a while now. Mostly a mixture of academy products and raids on lower league teams. Andy Yiadom looks like a good pacey addition at wing back.

Midfielders:
Conor Hourihane
Adam Hammill
Ryan Williams
Marley Watkins
Josh Scowen
George Moncur
Charlie Harris

The core is there. Lacking in depth though so could do with a couple of additions before the season starts. Scowen played a lot of the back end of last season in defence and may be expected to drop back again if we get injuries. Potentially plenty of goals from this midfield, but again really lacking in Championship experience for the most part.

Forwards:
Sam Winnall
Stefan Payne
Kayden Jackson
Elliot Lee
Shaun Tuton

Could really do with bringing in another striker, however I have a feeling Heckingbottom is going to go five in midfield with Winnall as lone striker this season.

Overall a very inexperienced team at this level, and a young squad too, I believe Hammill is our oldest player. I expect a couple more permanent signings and some loans like last season. Hopefully we don't lose anyone before the season starts too.

Possible Starting XI:

Davies
Yiadom/Bree Mawson Roberts White
Williams Moncur Hourihane Scowen Hammill
Winnall

Goalkeepers:

Scott Carson
Lee Grant
Jonathan Mitchell

Pretty happy with those three, Lee Grant might want a move for regular football and if that is eventually the case then we'll need to bring in a suitable backup that will push Carson.

Defenders:

Marcus Olsson
Craig Forsyth
Max Lowe
Richard Keogh
Jason Shackell
Jake Buxton
Alex Pearce
Raul Albentosa
Cyrus Christie

Albentosa will no doubt be off shortly, a hat full of La Liga clubs after him. I imagine we'll probably shift Pearce too with Lowe going out on loan to gain some experience. Plenty of good enough defenders there for what we're trying to achieve, hopefully Pearson can get the best out of them. Nice to see Craig Forsyth back in training, not sure if he'll be completely fit for the start of the season but he'll be like a new signing. Tough competition with Olsson.

Midfielders:

Tom Ince
Bradley Johnson
Craig Bryson
Jeff Hendrick
Will Hughes
Jacob Butterfield
Chris Baird
George Thorne
Jamie Hanson
Johnny Russell
Abdoul Camara

Decent sized midfield bunch which could do with a trim. Any substantial bids for Hendrick and I'd be letting him leave, probably won't start regardless of his Euro performances. Thorne's not training yet after his double leg break, Baird will probably be moved on and we might look to cash in on one of Johnson/Butterfield to let Pearson bring in his own guys. Camara is the forgotten man, he might be off home too.

Strikers:

Chris Martin
Darren Bent
Nick Blackman
Andreas Weimann

Martin obviously the main man for us after 3 really good seasons here, same again please. The other options should be good enough but as of yet are still to prove their value/potential at this level with us.

Potential Starting XI:

A little clueless at the moment as we don't really know the formation we'll be adopting this year. Pearson seems to have always gone with two up top so that'll differ from the system we've played the last three years. The back 5 speaks for itself, Forsyth will push Olsson when he's fit no doubt.

Derby County pre Pearson:

Carson

Christie Keogh Shackell Olsson

Hendrick
Bryson Hughes

Ince Russell
Martin
Derby County 16/17 potentially:

Carson

Christie Keogh Shackell Olsson

Johnson Hughes Bryson

Ince
Martin Weimann
You could swap Weimann out for any of the other three strikers we have, there's no indications yet as to who and where they might play. Ince for Butterfield too. The friendlies coming up will confirm things for us regardless.

Don't think we need to be looking too hard for any players here

Defenders:

Steven Whittaker
Russell Martin
Sebastien Bassong
Harry Toffolo
Timm Klose
Martin Olsson
Ryan Bennett
Ivo Pinto
Michael Turner

I'd like to see another CB but the real important thing here is to keep hold of Timm Klose. His injury meaning he missed Euro 2016 is probably a blessing for us here.

Midfielders:

Jonny Howson
Robbie Brady
Wes Hoolahan
Matt Jarvis
Graham Dorrans
Tony Andreu
Youssouf Mulumbu
Alex Tettey
Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe
Louis Thompson
Connor McGrandles
James Maddison
Josh Murphy
Jacob Murphy

At first look we look a little light in places in the midfield, especially on the wings. However we also have a lot of players who are at the age where they need to make an impact or drop down the leagues so it could be interesting. We might decide to loan these out and buy players in.

Strikers:

Steven Naismith
Cameron Jerome
Kyle Lafferty
Ricky van Wolfswinkel
Carlton Morris

Probably the area we are weakest in. None of them really jump out as a guaranteed 20+ goal a season striker. I expect us to spend big on bringing a striker in. Lafferty will probably leave, van Wolfswinkel could go as well. Morris out on loan if we sign someone is a possibility as well.

Possible Starting XI:

Ruddy
Pinto - Martin - Bassong - Olsson
Howson - Tettey
Jarvis - Naismith - Brady
Jerome

Should be competing at the top end of the table but could definitely do with some improvement.

With a proper DM to replace Cook, and maybe an upgrade at CB and on the wing, you suddenly look a very very good team for this league

Goalkeepers:

Richard O'Donnell
Frank Fielding
Max O'Leary

Happy with O'Donnell as number one, but would be seriously concerned if he got injured and Fielding was called upon. Fielding's out until at least September, so hopefully we bring in a loan number two.

Defenders:
Mark Little
Luke Ayling
Aden Flint
Derrick Williams
Zak Vyner
Scott Golbourne
Joe Bryan

Looking extremely weak in this department, particularly at centre back. I expect Matthews to come in next week permanently at right back, who was superb here on loan. Need at least a couple of centre backs as well.

Midfielders:
Gary O'Neil
Josh Brownhill
Marlon Pack
Korey Smith
Lee Tomlin
Bobby Reid
Wes Burns
Luke Freeman

Feel like I may be missing someone there, doing this off the top of my head. Four cracking options in O'Neil, Pack, Brownhill & Korey in the middle, definitely need a winger though. Bryan and Tomlin can play on the left, but only really Burns on the right from that bunch. If (big IF) Canos signs we look pretty strong in this department. The Bristol Post reported yesterday that we'd go back in for Dack if we missed out on Canos, which I'm not sure really makes sense... missing out on a winger, turning our attention towards an attacking midfielder? Anyhow, I don't want Dack. I still believe in Luke Freeman, a good pre-season under his belt under LJ and played in the correct system and he'll be a prize asset for us at this level. Still love the bloke, he was absolutely incredible in 14/15.

Strikers:
Aaron Wilbraham
Kieran Agard
Arnold Garita
Jonathan Kodjia

Need another striker. Wilbraham's 36, Agard's not good enough and will probably be sold, Garita's an unknown quantity, but Kodjia will do well again next season. We're in for a striker in the loan market, wouldn't mind us bringing in Ashley Fletcher from West Ham.

I may have missed a few in that as I said. If I did this on September 1st I imagine our squad would look completely different to what it does now. Expecting 4/5 signings. A couple next week.

Possible starting XI:

RoD
Little, Flint, Williams (eugh), Bryan;
GoN, Smith:
Burns, Freeman/Reid, Tomlin;
Kodjia.

I'd have Golbourne ahead of Bryan, Aying ahead of Little. May even have Tomlin in at no 10 and Bryan on the left. We've got options which is good, if we can just add a first team centre half, right back ( Matthews) a winger and a striker our squad will be looking very good.

Perfectly happy in this department, Westwood is one of the best in the division and has helped us keep club record back to back clean sheets in a season, Joe is adequate cover.

Defenders
Liam Palmer
Jack Hunt
Glenn Loovens
Tom Lees
Jeremy Helan
Daryl Lachmann
Sam Hutchinson
Marnick Vermijl

Need a new centre half and a new left back as we've lost Pudil at present, expect us to strengthen in both positions. Loovens should be back up next term.

Midfield
Marco Matias
Ross Wallace
Jose Semedo
Barry Bannan
Fernando Forestieri

Lack of pace on the wings needs addressing so hopefully adding a bit of speed will help, as a four we've got a good line up that would cause problems for many teams.

Forwards
Steven Fletcher
Lucas Joao
Gary Hooper
Atdhe Nuhiu

Looking to add to this line up as it lacks a bit.

First XI yeah. Just an issue with the squad if our foreign imports don't cut the mustard. If the likes of Antonsson and Sacko can become real starting prospects then I'll be more confident.

More will come in but at the end of the day it's just frustrating because whenever we bring in good players, we end up losing one or two of our current best...when if they were together, we could be a real threat. Toums and Cook had a good thing going last season so I'm disappointed they can't be the base of our midfield for the mainstay of the season.

Long way to go yet. I would expect Matthews to sign at some point plus a few others. The FB group seem to think we have another 'big' signing heading our way but I'm not getting too excited, just wait and see. We definitely need another CH to go alongside Flinty before we kick off and it wouldn't surprise me to see us go back in for Harry McGuire.

Doing this from memory so may miss a few:

Goalkeepers:
David Button
Daniel Bentley
Jack Bonham

Very happy with this selection. Button is one of the best in this division, especially for the way we play, and I'll be gutted to lose him, but we have an awesome replacement in Bentley. If Button goes I think we'll need a new back up now the loan Windows have gone.

Defence:
Maxime Colin
Josh Clarke
Nico Yennaris
Alan McCormack
John Egan
Harlee Dean
Yohann Barbet
Andreas Bjelland
Tom Field

Definitely in need of a first team left back. Nicolas Boilesen and Rico Henry are the only two linked so far that I have seen. Henry would be the preferred option, and I think we'd be willing to spend a bit to get him. Otherwise all good barring any departures.

Midfielders:
Sam Saunders
Josh McEachran
Ryan Woods
Lewis Macleod
Alan Judge
Romaine Sawyers
Andy Gogia
Konstantin Kerschbaummer

Probably the area that needs most attention, we're really short of any pace in midfield, and are in desperate need of some wingers. Judge will be a huge miss, expect him to be out injured till Jan and then sold pretty quickly, it will be a huge loss to the club if we don't get a big fee for him, could easily have got £6-7m this summer given how well he played last year. Manager has said he wants to bring in two wingers, would have loved them to be Canos and Roofe but neither will happen now. I think we also need a top quality DM. Realistically we haven't replaced Jota or Diagouraga yet, and need some great acquisitions to match their standards.

Forwards:
Scott Hogan
Phillip Hofmann
Lasse Vibe

I think these forwards are fine if we are just aiming for mid table, but to get a play off / promotion spot we need someone who has a bit more class and strength up front. I expect we'll get someone on loan from a PL club as a back up and go with this for now.

First XI with the players we have:

Button
Colin - Dean - Bjelland - Field
Woods - McEachran
Sawyers - Judge - Vibe
Hogan

First XI I think we need:

Button
Colin - Dean - Bjelland - NEW LB
Woods - NEW DM
NEW RW - Judge/Sawyers - NEW LW
Hogan

Fully expect Krul to leave although his strongest link was Boro before the signing of Valdes. Other than that, I'd be happy with Elliott or Selz as number 1 as both are more than good enough for this level. Woodman/Darlow may head out on loan too.

Defenders
Jesus Gamez
Daryl Janmaat
Jamaal Lascelles
Chancel Mbemba
Paul Dummett
Massaido Haidara
Kevin Mbabu
Isaac Hayden (literally just signed)

Our weakest area is at the back and I'll be pretty worried if we don't sign another two. Hayden clan play across the back but we'll need at least one starting CB with Hanley rumoured to be the main target. The Chronicle is reporting that a big departure is imminent this weekend and I'm thinking Janmaat which I'm not too plussed about considering we,ve just signed Gamez from Atletico.

Midfielders
Moussa Sissoko
Florian Thauvin
Remy Cabella
Matt Ritchie
Gini Wiljnandum
Rolando Aarons
Siem De Jong
Jonjo Shelvey
Jack Colback
Henri Saivet
Chiek Tiote
Vernon Anita

Well. This is either our strongest area or the most difficult to rebuild once a few bigger names leave. Rafa as stated several times that no one will be leaving without his say so and without a substantial bid. With that in mind both Sissoko and Wijnaldum are going to be the subject of a lot of tabloid inches between now and the end of the window. I'm hoping we also get rid of Tiote and Saivet for differing reasons. I don't think we'll be getting any one new in unless the aforementioned do leave and the money is reinvested.

Forwards
Aleksander Mitrovic
Ayoze Perez
Yohan Gouffran
Adam Armstrong
Dwight Gayle
Emmanuel Rivière

Cisse's just been sold and every report coming in is that he WILL be replaced by a main striker rather than a squad player. We're also looking to move on Gouffran and Rivieire. The prior is because he just never adapted to the style of play, the latter because he's scored 1 league goal in 2 years.

Goalkeepers;

Lee Camp
Laurence Bilboe - first year pro

Camp is one of the best in the division for me but we definitely need another as back up, as Bilboe is only a kid.

Defenders;

Stephen Kelly
Fabian Bailey - First year pro
Tom Rose - first year pro
Kirk Broadfoot
Richard Wood
Aimee Belaid
Joe Mattock
Mason Warren

Definitely need some back up for Kelly and Mattock, hopefully the Belgian on trial Is up to it. Need a young centre half with some legs too, Liam Moore from Leicester is a strong rumour to join on loan for the season and would be perfect.

Midfielders;
Anthony Forde
Kuda Muskwe - first year pro
Darnelle Bailey-King
Tom Thorpe
Greg Halford
Chris Dawson
Richie Smallwood
Lee frecklington
Joe Newell

Jake Forster-Caskey will be joining shortly and hopefully we'll sign a couple of wingers too and then our Midfield will be set. Bailey-King is an exciting young player, played against Hull last day of the season and hopefully can fulfill some of his potential.

Strikers;

Danny Ward
Jonson Clarke-Harris
Jerry Yates

We desperately need a couple of strikers, Ward has been quality and generally is and if he keeps himself fit, I'd expect bigger clubs to come after him. Clarke-Harris needs some serious attention paying on him, he's got all the attributes to be a premiership player but needs help in developing a bit of nous and a harder work ethic, again if he sorts himself he'd be away for big money. Jerry Yates is a typical poacher and again is exciting. Hopefully we do get Bradshaw and Gregory over the Lin, if we did we'd have a very exciting young forward line.

If we sign Forster-Caskey, Bradshaw and Gregory, we'll definitely surprise a few this season with a fairly young squad. We need to fill some gaps aswell especially at both full back and wing positions but pleasantly optimistic with the direction we're heading.

Jussi is fantastic even in his 40s. But Nicholls is terrible and it's a big ask for Lavercombe to step up from Torquay Utd last season. So we need a keeper with Bogdan sounding like the main target.

Defence:
Kyle Knoyle
Donervon Daniels
Craig Morgan
Jason Pearce
Dan Burn
Stephen Warnock
Reece James
Andrew Taylor
Jack Hendry

Think the only other potential addition we'll see here is another centre back. It's not a priority though and if it does happen it'll probably be late on in the window. I'd expect Jack Hendry to go out on loan and the hopeless Andrew Taylor to be sold providing someone stupid enough wants to take him off our hands. I feel like we have a solid defence and foundation from last season to build on with Jussi behind them, but against pace we could be exposed. I can imagine someone like Dwight Gayle ripping us apart if given space down the middle.

Splitting the midfielders into two different groups as we do seem to play two banks of midfielders.

Defensive/Central Midfielders:

David Perkins
Max Power
Alex Gilbey
Sam Morsy
Emyr Huws
Tim Chow

Chow isn't good enough so won't feature but is still at the club because he's a local lad. I'd imagine Huws will be sold if someone comes in for him and rumours are MK Dons want Morsy on loan which personally I'd reject and keep him here. We are looking to sign someone in this area though, the main one being Jordi Gomez with Leon Osman also linked. We're also rumoured to have enquired (and told no) for Cameron Brannigan of Liverpool and earlier in the window Conor Hourihane but we never followed it up.

Attacking/Wide Midfielders:
Michael Jacobs
Yanic Wildschut
Ryan Colclough
Jordan Flores

For me our most exciting area of the squad. Flores is a young talent who for me needs a loan to play regular football this season. The other three are great players who I think will do very well in this division and create chances for our strikers along with bagging goals themselves, Wildschut can also play up front if needed. I can see us signing one more attacking midfielder to go with these three. I'd absolutely love someone like Bradley Dack but I can't see us paying the money. But there are funds available if the Brannigan rumour is true so we'll see what happens regarding this position.

Strikers
Will Grigg
Craig Davies
Billy McKay

If Grigg is sold or gets injured we're in big trouble if we have no replacement signed. Hopefully we hold our nerve and keep him until at least January. McKay isn't good enough and I imagine will be sold later in the window if anyone wants him. Craig Davies can play the big man role so he should stay and I reckon we'll sign a Premier League loanee to provide competition/cover for Grigg with their being no good options to sign from EFL clubs. Gregory not worth the money, Bradshaw going elsewhere, Winnall expensive and god knows where Matty Taylor will end up.

I'd have Golbourne ahead of Bryan, Aying ahead of Little. May even have Tomlin in at no 10 and Bryan on the left. We've got options which is good, if we can just add a first team centre half, right back ( Matthews) a winger and a striker our squad will be looking very good.
I agree with your first change but I wouldn't have Ayling in for Little because I believe if Little he has a good pre-season (something he missed out on last season) he might come back a Championship quality player. Also, Ayling is fairly slow, he'll probably be exposed against pacey wingers next season.

I'll post when we've spent about £40m on incoming transfers because at present it looks really shit.

I really don't rate Little. He's so one dimensional, and technically awful. I wonder how he's got this far in the game. Take Ayling everytime. Better on the ball, better going forward.

I'll never forget Little for letting the MK Dons player casually cut in on his stronger foot to equalize in the 90 th miniute. The worst teams I've seen down the gate for years

I disagree with you about Ayling being better going forward. I think Little is. I would say that Ayling is technically better, Little has more pace and is better at going forward.

Little's very one-dimensional though. He'll kick it past the defender and run, and if that doesn't work he'll try it again. Very effective in L1 but defenders at this level are far better. Ayling's got more to his game

Yeah, that's true. Maybe LJ could help him add more to his game. He's certainly got the potential to be a good full-back.

I think he's alright defensively. It wouldn't be disastrous if we went into the season with those two but it is an area that could do with some improvement.

Anyway, back on topic, JJH summed ours up very well. Cursory glance at the others, Norwich predictably are very strong while Barnsley look a bit weak

Walkley has pretty much covered it for us just missed Sergiu Bus who aas returned from his loan spell, not really had a chance here but can't see him sticking around.

Goalkeepers

Joel Coleman
Joe Murphy

Danny Ward expected to sign on loan for the season who I expect to be #1 - worst kept secret at the moment. A real shame we couldn't keep Jed Steer who won't be starting at Villa.

Defenders

Tom Smith
Christopher Löwe
Christopher Schindler
Michael Hefele
Jon Gorenc Stankovic
Mark Hudson
Jason Davidson
Martin Cranie

Our most important thing this Summer was to strengthen our defence as it's been weak for years. When we lost games, they were by 2+ goals. Signing 3 German players who captained their sides last season (Schindler - 1860 Munich, Löwe - Kaiserslautern and Hefele - Dynamo Dresden) is a strong point, especially signing Schindler for £1.7million breaking our record. We may sign someone to give Smith competition at right back, although I know Wägner likes to try Dempsey there too. I don't expect Mark Hudson to feature much for us now, most likely converting to 'club captain'. Hopefully we don't see Jason Davidson play again for us, bloody awful player.

Midfield

Philip Billing
Dean Whitehead
Ivan Paurevic
Jonathan Hogg
Aaron Mooy
Jack Payne
Kyle Dempsey

Once again an area I'm confident in, we've got height in the team now with Paurevic 6"5 and Billing not far off, the latter who will go for £millions in the near future. Payne has apparently really impressed Wägner with his training. Intregued to see how Mooy will get on, having torn it up in the Aussie Premier League last year for Melbourne.

Wingers/Strikers

Joe Lolley
Harry Bunn
Sean Scannell
Elias Kachunga
Nahki Wells
Rajiv Van La Parra

We're not far off being sorted in this area to be fair, we could do with some presence up top to change it up like Wednesday did against us last season. Terrode was meant to be that player but we missed out. It's a position that will cost money and I can see us breaking our transfer record again to sign someone in this role.

Potential Starting Eleven

Ward
Smith Schindler Hefele Löwe
Billing Mooy
Kachunga Payne Van La Parra
Wells
I've no idea how Wägner has us planned to setup as nobody really knows much about a lot of the players we've signed. Bloody exciting though. A shame we seem to have missed out on Jamie Paterson who I really rates. Expecting the 'gegenpressin' style again from Wägner with us dominating possession and closing teams down straight away.

I think I got everyone..
