Dreadful football. Some of it has been truly shocking. Doesn’t come across as likeable. Too much nonsensical psycho babble in his interviews. Tends to bear a grudge with certain players. No future beyond L2 with him in charge
So apart from that you think he's a decent bloke?

So by accepting their resignations, have Radford allowed them both to leave without any compensation from Peterborough?

It would seem so, yes. Extremely weird seeing as we had a couple of approaches for him rejected earlier in the season (much to my relief).

Don't let Luton fans hear you saying that. They'll have their net spend statistic brigade up your arse before you know it
This was my first thought when I read Luke's post. Amazed Kenny hasn't been in yet to tell us how Luton could afford to buy out Guardian's contract, never mind the Cowleys' release clause.

We’ve lost 14 league games this season, we’ve let more goals in at home than anyone else. He might work out for you, but I’m glad he’s gone.

It's always good to give managers a good chance and I will do, but I'm less than impressed. I'd have given it to Dempster and saw what was what at the end of the season. But hey.

As for Stevie Evans, I don't know if I'm the only one (though I reckon I am indeed) but I always thought Raynor was easily the most detestable one out of the two stooges. I mean I do get some of Stevie's antics, well he's the boss right, but Raynor's actions are a bit OTT for an assistant me thinks.

And oh, turns out I was right -

I'm fully with you, and I felt that way before his altercation with Gary Johnson at Field Mill. Raynor reminds me of the assistant coach in American Pie who simply repeats everything the head coach does, just a second or so after.

That was different. Gary Johnson and Cheltenham were a disgrace that day, and they should be ashamed of that performance.

Not that I'm backing evans and his antics in general

Raynor has been always been a nasty piece of work.
Its like he tries to out do Evans touchline antics.
Our goalkeeping coach has tweeted how upset he is that Raynor has left.

Shrimpurh Not expecting it to be good but what’s your assessment of Phil Brown. He’s the name I’ve heard and he’s favourite already.

To be fair he got us out of league 2 and nearly got us in the play offs last season. He’s a very easy manager to dislike when it’s not going well with all his media work, dull football and he was constantly brassing himself off for other jobs whilst with us. But he left us in a better place than where we started it just went stale towards the end. I reckon you could hire much worse

The last couple of days have been wicked.

Love the U-turns, the 180’s, the previously tucked away real feelings coming out, as well as the general hostility towards my least favourite person in the world of football.

Thank you Stevie and Puppet never change , never change

:)

Minus the dull football that explains Steve Evans reign at Mansfield.

Edit - I didn’t see the ‘stale’ bit either :)

Plus the dull football at Swindon explains why Flitcroft’s departure has been overwhelmingly accepted here. Honestly, guys he’s a bang it down the channels, hoof it from the back manager. Probably get you promoted but that’s as far as he’ll take you.

That is going to be threee huge self importance ego's to contend with at Peterborough...........I actually don't personally think that combo will end up too good.

probably short-term success, but if things don't go rosy i cannot see Evans, Fry and MacAnthony working as a unit to turn it about.

I believe you but when his teams have played Mansfield it’s never been like that.

We don’t have the players to ‘hoof’ it either, and you always go a bit to dramatic with everything.

New Manager - clean slate, I’ll let you know if he’s shit with Mansfield soon enough.

Evans' track record when he's got time and money to spend is superb tbf. Been promoted at every club where that's happened I think?

Curle certainly thought so, he described them as the two ugly sisters. Personally I think Dr Evil and Minime is more accurate.

Mansfield have departed from the devil, at last.

However, you could have got a slightly better manager to replace him. Flitcroft is shit from everything I've ever read.

Raynor ain't short on ego and his own self importance either!

It's a shame, as when we pass it were often unbearable for teams to play. The long ball doesn't suit any of our forwards well.

We can’t be playing long ball then considering if we win our hand in hand we are in the automatics.

It’s pretty simple - anything less than Promotion is unacceptable.

Actually comes across a tad harsh, considering he’s just joined and we only have a handful of games left.

"I’m very lucky in more than one way. This is a job I have always wanted. It’s a club close to my heart in a city I’ve lived for 30 years. It’s the place my kids were born and raised.
I was at Selhurst Park in 2013 when Posh were relegated from the Championship and I had tears streaming down my faceat full-time, like many other fans."
Somebody had picked up the 20p coin he'd spotted on the way in.

I am reasonably happy with the appointment of Flitcroft. However, he will not be able to compete with Evans' pleasant personality and gentlemanly conduct.

I honestly have no idea how flitcroft will do, there’s should be enough momentum and quality there to keep it going and make the top 3. With Fatty McFatty still in charge I was certain Stags had top 3 nailed on, but then he screwed the ever so generous and trusting Radford at a simple awful time.

But I do know that not having to see those two ‘disgraceful , repulsive and above all embarrassing’ eejits from close distance in just over a weeks time is simply great news for me and dozens of others who would of witnessed the shameful behaviour on the sidelines. Plus it’s a real bonus not having to hear him in lie/talk and generally talk smarmy bs on the local radio station pre and post game. Another personal silver lining.

To have Evans and Raynor and not get a promotion out of it must be the worst combo going, right ?
