This should be an interesting clash of styles what with Stoke's little creative technicians like Bojan coming up against Liverpool's less cultured, big clumpy bruisers like Benteke.

Benteke isn't just a bruiser, he's better than that and you know it!

Stoke 1 - 3 Liverpool

For every Bojan there is Shawcross...for every Benteke there is Coutinho :D

How many times have Liverpool done that in 50 years again? Arsenal concede 6 to 8 goals quite regularly over the last few years. ...

What have Arsenal got to do with a Liverpool - Stoke thread? Last time we lost to a mid table team was last year, granted it was only 5-1 but still.

I always feel very optimistic ahead of the first game of the season. It usually lasts up until half time before the season is pretty much over, but I'm hanging in there.

3-0 Liverpool with Benteke scoring a brace.

A very unbiased and neutral verdict of 8 - 1 to Stoke.......could be more but trying to stay as neutral as possible.

Tell me, which season was it that you won the Premier League? I mean you must have at least one to be putting up this fight surely?

Looks like Saltire shot himself in the foot there

Anyway, i think this fixture will end 2-0 to Liverpool, I have a feeling they might bounce back this season, not totally convinced yet though.

1 win in 7 games at Britannia since Stoke came up which was 2 years ago. Not a happy hunting ground for us reds. Going for Desmond. Adam and Walters for Stoke, Lallana and Milner for the Reds.

Are you old enough to remember Arsenal winning the league? I remember Liverpool winning the league plenty of times back in the day. Oh yeah and then there is the European Cups, something Arsenal have never done - fuck even Chelsea have did it and they only became a serious side thirteen or so years ago...:box:

And the Liverpool fan turns to a history lesson. How tremendously unpredictable.

Liverpool to win and then go on to have a great season where their fans regale each other and boast to others about finishing second.

It'll be interesting to see how Stoke cope without the likes of Begovic, Nzonzi and Shawcross.
