Oh, also, as it's June... we see the return of The Minsterman from his injury!
June NXT
The Minsterman vs Luke
A very solid return to the ring for Minsterman here. Minsterman actually put on the best performance he's capable of, while Luke also did very well. This was about as good a match as these two are capable of against one another. Typically, as it was a return, Minsterman managed to get kicked off with a win.
Match Rating: C
Epic vs Rich Swan
It seemed that Epic was hell bent on making up for his lack of oppertunity as of late, so he came back here with a great performance. That being said, Rich Swan was fantastic here as well. Rich picked up the win.
Match Rating: C+
Christian Slater vs Baz
It's a shame, because Baz was brilliant here but Slater had a bit of an off day to drag the match down. However, Slater still managed to get the win here.
Match Rating: C-
TCM vs Austin Aries - Nakamura special guest referee
Even though Mike is the new guy, it was actually Aries who let this match down more than anything in terms of the in ring action.
Nakamura got to have a close up look at his opponent here as the referee. He did some weird shit, as he is apt to do, but otherwise did an unbiased job. Mike pushed Aries to his limits but Austin was a bit too much for him in the end, and Nakamura counted the 3.
After the match, Aries seemed offended to have been pushed so hard by such a rookie, so tried to lay a beat down on Mike. Nakamura was having none of it, though, so came and saved Mike and threw Aries out of the ring. However, when Mike got back up, Nakamura hit him with a Kinshasa of his own! I guess if anybody is going to be taking out Mike, it's gonna be Shinsuke himself... mind games here before Takeover.
Shinsuke Nakamura vs This Charming Mike - NXT World Championship
Wow, what a match! Both men did near enough the best that they're capable of to give us a brilliant match. Mike was pushed unexpectedly into the main event here but he's absolutely delivered.
But could he capture the gold?!
Well, he managed to push Shinsuke much more than anybody thought he would. There were real moment where it looked as if we were going to get an upset, but after suffering two Kinshasas, Mike was eventually bested and his underdog journey to the top was cut short. But he's done wonders for himself, here.
Money in the Bank Ladder Match:
Big E vs The Miz vs Randy Orton vs Kevin Owens vs Dean Ambrose vs Chris Jericho
A big, big win here for The Miz! He becomes a 2 time Mr Money in the Bank... could this be the start of another main event run for The Miz?
Seth Rollins vs John Cena - Ladder Match for the WWE Championship
Somewhat disappointing for a match between these two, but still ok. Seth was once again able to overcome John Cena here after he narrowly beat Cena up the ladder. He received an AA off of the Ladder after the match.
This Charming Mike has improved a bit in training. He gains +3 WA.
Joe is the latest upcoming star to have a run in with Vince Mcmahon backstage. This time he simply steps backward without realising that Vince is stood behind him, and steps on the front of his shoe putting a big dent in it. He apologizes, but Vince just grunts and walks off.
However, Joe also gets to attend a fan signing session, which increases his popularity a bit. Win some, lose some...
Unfortunately, I think so. Make that 4 out of 4 (I think?) seasons of SSW that have been attempted and failed
I actually found running it to be fine to begin with, even if it did take up more time than I originally hoped it would. But since I came back from my holiday, my time on here seems to have been in short supply, and I put what little time I did have into THW and the top 50 wrestlers... and now it's just hard to get back into this. Probably best just to scrap it.
