In days of yore, we always got twomped by Swindon. Always. Without exception.

More recently, we've done better. Swindon's mixture of pretty-but-not-always-penetrating football and an occasionally AWOL defence has been more to our liking.

On form, we've a chance of making it seven league wins in a row. Swindon have, however, kept a couple of clean sheets recently, but is this down to a very good goalie rather than general solidity?

Talking of said goalie, I like how Swindon sign players with inspiring names, who are also pretty good. I'm thinking of Danny Invincible here, as well as Larry Vigorous... :-)

Dale should have a similar starting eleven to Saturday, possibly with Andy Cannon starting in place of Ian Henderson or Steve Davies. With confidence high, we might just do it.

Robins 0 v 2 Dale (Lund, Mendez-Laing), 174 travelling fans.

Shock horror. Another loss to Swindon :brill:.

Anyone at the game have any idea why we are down to ten men following a foul from a Swindon player?

Sounds like we have finally changed our 'total football' ethic and went a bit more direct. Also the players feeding one of Delfouneso's endless runs with an actual through ball ending in a goal!

Long may it last!

Furlong fouled him and then the number 39 retaliated and took a swipe at him.

Looks a harsh red on the replays, the Swindon man trips him as he's about to take a throw, so I'm not surprised Bunney reacted. Sounds like we never really turned up though, and missing the penalty summed our night up. The run had to end somewhere and we rarely do anything good against Swindon so it was to be expected.
