Morning all,

Further to our announcement on 29th November that we had reduced ad coverage on TFF (see here: Announcement - Ad Coverage Reduced by 25% - Thank you) I can confirm that effective immediately, thefootballforum.net has removed all banner advertising, vignette, and overlay adverts for all members when logged in.

This transformation has been a long time coming based on feedback from members and a shift in our commercial goals.

Moving forwards, the site will be funded solely via text links, guest posts, and affiliate commissions, without the use of banner creatives for logged in members.

This change will drastically and immediately have a positive experience for our logged in users.

As members, to assist with this change in direction, should you wish to hep us indirectly you can consider using our betting partners for the times you place bets in the future. This is a quick and easy way to support the ad-free version of our website, by choosing to utilise TFF partners such as Betiton when placing a bet, you can read our betiton review & sign up here.

We hope you enjoy the new, Ad-Free TFF Football Forum.

Sorry you feel that way, but these are a direct replacement for the 100% banner ad reduction we have delivered.

Private messages are on-site notifications, they are in no way spam. The PM's you refer to are to replace the banner advertising which we have completely removed- and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. It greatly increases user experience.

You can disable email notifications for them here: https://www.thefootballforum.net/account/preferences

It's a much less invasive way of financially supporting the site; feel free to dismiss the little red envelope notification. Our hope is that users who appreciate this completely free community will take a moment to read them and engage with any offers which they feel benefit them too.

Yes it is gone, but now I'm getting a load of betting links instead.

I'm sorry, I clearly misunderstood the thread title.
