Setting off for the bar in 30 minutes to settle the nerves. Can’t imagine there will be any other Town fans in there!

Think any normal fan of ours or anyones would condemn him. Not seen any names been mentioned in the local paper but the guys an absolute idiot. Dont want him at Sixfields or any other ground again. Come down hard on these idiots.

Think they assume hes a Mansfield fan as the colour of the flare was orangey and they assumed it was linked to Mansfield (yes I know you play in Yellow). That and he was mouthing off to the home fans as he was kicked out.

Not justifying it whatsoever though. Complete and utter idiot, ban him. No excuse for anyone attempting to justify in any way.

He was probably mouthing at the home fans because they were having a go at him from what I understand.

I dont understand what goes through these peoples minds. What are they trying to achieve / what do they think is going to happen afterwards? Although assuming they are thinking is probably giving them too much credit.

Think thats it then. Need to face up to losing Horsfall, Roberts and McWlliams, and Eppiah back to his parent club and work out how to recruit some quality that can break people down. We wanted to sign Jacobs if we'd gone up, so know we're looking at the right type of player for that at least, and go fornone of the three auto places next year.
Mcwilliams and Eppiah best two players on the park .

TBH I feel sorry for Northampton after missing out on the autos and it would've been great if they had joined us and the pish in L1 for obvious reasons but I was rooting for the Stags last night and I'll be rooting for Vale today. Nowt personal against Swindon and the Cobblers but I reckon it does get a tad boring when it's the usual suspects going up.

Re last nights game, I think the ref had a good game actually as he got most of the big decisions spot on, esp with the two 'big' penalty appeals. The only thing he got wrong IMO was only dishing out a yellow to Wallace for what was a red card offence and I don't think it's fair to blame such a reckless challenge on the 'conditions'. Obviously the same goes for the Pinnock challenge. He should've walked as well.

Best of luck to Port Vale and Swindon and may the better side on the day make it through to the final

He’s not a fan of any side in my eyes, just a day tripper looking for trouble most likely. Doubt we would have seen him in October in either the home or away end. (I wish I hadn’t seen that game in October tbf)

in the grand scheme of things pal that’s kind of supporter doesn’t represent football or any club, it’s half annoying when a club and their fans get tarred because of a few dicks.

The national press have been all over the incident at forest and northampton the last few nights when clearly it’s not the case and they don’t represent the many.

The fact is sadly we all have that element, and it appears that this kind of behaviour is increasing across the board sadly. Clough was right in his statement when he said it’s carried on from the events last summer in the euros

Gutting no Proctor, huge blow but a huge chance for Harratt.

No Martin either so down to the bare bones although happy to see Gibbo RCB as he’s got pace and better on the ball.

As per much of the season if we pull it off it’s going to be against adversity. Come on Vale!

Saw a few Swindon fans earlier on the m5, I was coming back from Gloucester and they were on the way up. Grey Honda jazz with a Swindon flag hanging out the Window. Own up Indian Dan. Must be your shitbox.

Don’t football grounds look class full.

if only we both managed in last saturday huh.

At the very least for those who don’t make it the tv money and gate receipts will be decent

So if there was VAR, Swindon would have had a penalty and Port Vales goal would have been offside!
He was onside looking at the reply it’s just shown, definitely a pen though. Vale started much better though, Swindon captain did their team talk for them.

Not short of action then .

Wilson will be glad to score after the early miss and Swindon definitely should have had a pen .

Sounds like Mckirdy forged a good relationship with the Port Vale fans as well.
