Past or present, celebrate their shitness.

Dean Keates
Peter managed England as a caretaker once about a hundred years ago Taylor
Craig Harrison
Mackie Jacknamara
David Holdsworth
Dodgy Ronnie Moore post 2010
Bryan Hughes
Chris Moyles or Moyesy or Moyses
Jon McCarthy
That bloke who always used to take over Braintree each season, Hakin Harritakan or something.

You'll be hard pushed to find anyone who can surpass the achievements of these three during their respective times at Barnet.

Credit to Ian Bogie for having the most squashed face in the world but thought he did well at Jon Shaw FC overall even though he spent millions there.

In fairness to Bogie it was a very short stint in charge of County, only 10 matches or so, but he clearly what a shit-show the club was at the time and hotfooted it out of there.

That manager we had who lost his first game 7-1, promised us "that won't happen again", then lost 7-0 3 games later, and added a 0-4 and a 3-6 to his CV before he was sacked after 10 games. You know who I mean- wassisname..........

Neil Smith. His teams can play a bit but only when they feel like it. Normally stagnate around mid table. Somehow continues to be employed at Bromley who seemingly refuse to upgrade on him.

We had three in the same season:

Neil Young (on his comeback tour, part 2)
Jim Harvey (played 10, lost 9)
Matt Doughty

All utterly terrible in their own unique way. I think some were more culpable than others however.

In fairness to Neil Young, he did well at Chester and has just got 8th tier Marine into Round 2 of the FA Cup. He was crap for us and gets a mention from Alty there but just adding balance.

Most managers have shit spells to be at this level, unless it's their first job. Gannon is a legend here but ask Port Vale fans what they think of him.

Young got Colwyn Bay promoted before coming to us as well. Was why we hired him.

Yes, I actually don't think he was the worst of the three that year, and I know many wanted him to go when he did, but he really did set fire to the place before scarpering into "retirement"

Jody Brown at Welling in 2014/15. 10 games in charge 1 draw 9 defeats I think!

Didn't they bring him in from an Isthmian League club (I think Grays?). Strange appointment.

Speaking of Welling, their former manager Jamie Day took Braintree from 3rd to the relegation zone the following season before Hayrettin came in to finish the job.

Sorry but can’t see anyone worse than Jackie McNamara got us relegated with a reported 900k budget and signed players on 3 year contract, hence why still in fog and duck league.

Saw a few interviews with him on the NL round up show.
He looked like he'd have trouble putting his shoes on the right feet.

Gary Mills has to be in this list. Long gone in the guy who got York promoted. That team he put together for his second season with us was absolutely shocking.

At least Sturrock was honest, he even said "We're fucked" during an interview.

We had him for 4 years. Imagine that.

Tbf with the amount of signings he made and eventual side he put together before he fucked off and left us in the financial shit, he'd have been perfect at this level with McReynolds FC bankrolling him

If you think 5 years is a long slow death, then you're not going to get much sympathy down here

It ain't over yet. Current ownership (not got a pot to piss in) and current management (hoof) will see us down here for a long time to come.

Chris Turner was quality for us, helped to transform the club. Horrible views on life stuff though - not a bloke I'd readily share a pint with.

Also, Ronnie Moore? Saved us from the drop when we were 15 points adrift in January or something like that. Diabolical the following season mind. He's not a shit manager, just a dinosaur in this day and age.

I'd like to add the fat twat Dave Jones to the list but think he was good at one time, somehow.

Martin Scott for me - took a Pools team who were 8 minutes from the Championship with a good budget to relegation to L2 in less than a year. Never got a job in pro football again.

I actually think that Ben Strevens will have a decent managerial career. In his interviews he always comes across as having a bit more of a clue than your average NL manager.

Re. Chris Turner and his life views. Care to share? Not seen anything about this previously.
