Big game tonight, local derby and we are away from home so not confident, regardless of how shit they have been all season long.

Birmingham away - keep it under 5 and I'll be happy.
Especially after losing Crama who's gone back to Brentford

After the standard pretty straight forward victory over stockport last time out it’ll be a much tougher assignment against wycombe at home.

Home ends sold out as per and with them having lost their manager during the week maybe folk will think it’s a good time to catch them on the hop.

After losing the 1-0 away to an absurdly fluke of a goal in the last minute i’m sure the players will be up for it too.

Would still be happy with a point.

Anything could happen really vs Mansfield.

I know that the exact point of a data-led/ Director of Football kind of model is that the manager in charge is not supposed to be so much the be all and end all as they have been in the past - so you get teams like Brighton who have overcome managerial changes with relatively little transitional pain.

But I feel like we’ve got a fair chance of coming unstuck in the short term, which Mansfield should be happy about.

The only thing is, the stands at Field Mill are likely to be stuffed with prospective managerial candidates, in front of whom the players are not likely to turn in a half-arsed shift.

Lincoln (h). Chance here for us, we won’t have any players back by the sounds of it but they should be a lot fresher than the second half at Burton when they were running on fumes.

Got a chance here with Lincoln’s form and a tough run coming up so hope we go for it and get after the Imps.

Our game feels a bit bigger than it really should be doing after a wretched run of form since October time. We've only sold 500 tickets so far compared to the 800 odd on a Tuesday night last season, which shows the apathy around the place at the minute - obviously not aided by failing to score in 8 of the last 11 games either!

Injury/illness wise I don't think we're currently too bad now but the squad is a little light on numbers with Hamer, Walker, Wickens (first choice GK) and Bayliss injured and seeing 3 depart so far in January and perhaps 4 by the weekend.

It'd be great to not just score a goal but actually look like scoring as well!

I imagine Ainsworth will go with the same back keeper and back 5 as recent games, then anyone's guess for the other 5.

Hopefully he can conjure up the same spirit tonight as he did for the Birmingham game. Just needs to do it consistently.

First goal is crucial. If Wrexham score first can't see is getting back into it

The battle of the unsackable managers at Middlebrook this weekend.

We are gonna get bummed mind, even if it seems we finally have a competent keeper.

I'm just going to tick it off.
These games at big stadia are always an anticlimax, more looking forward to going to Cambridge in a few weeks

Cup Final feel to this one in the home end. Just had to stop the game to pop a load of balloons.

I haven't seen us play as poorly as this second half for years. Shrewsbury dragging us down to their level - and it's working!
It’s not Shrewsbury’s fault your final ball is sloppy, and the finishing not good enough. You have had the lions share of possession but can’t do anything with it.

Thought shrewsbury have played well for their position, that George Lloyd lad looks a handful upfront - they’ve quite easily held out against what has been a poor wrexham side in the night.

As derbies go it certainly goes into the tinpot catergory mind.

You knew that was coming as soon as it was picked for TV coverage. Nailed on. It would help if we didn't have a drunk Irishman at the back gifting teams goals out of nowhere.

We've had to play a 50 year old Fletcher for 98 mins because there's no other striker remotely capable of getting a goal for us.

We've let 2 strikers go today so surely some incomings soon.

Have to say - mcclean takes a lot of abuse and just gets on with it. I think I’d be windmilling every game, so fair play to him. Whatever you think of him.

Awful away again. O'Connell adding to his growing reel of fuck ups, needs dropping.
Get battered next week.
