2-1 Walsall. Shite. Our defence is absolutely laughable.

The prophecy foretold that he who could lead Notts to victory against Bromley would be the chosen one.

We are still hilarious but maybe in a good way this season.

3-1 up against ten men with less than ten minutes to go, and we still manage to throw two points away. Same old Col U.

An absolutely turgid game of sod all but we won 1-0 away at Accy. Don't wait up for the highlights.

3 up on Tranmere- 2 goals added when down to ten men. Last year we'd have been clinging on to 1-0 going to be much better this season.

Lost 2-1. Deserved something out of that game, I think. Missing an open net and had a few chances that we should have scored from. Alexander is the real weakness.

Walsall looked a decent side. Will finish higher than us.

Just occasionally footballing miracles do happen....
Grimsby 1 Barrow 2.
A bit tense at times 2nd half, but we held on for (i think) only our 2nd ever win at the fishy folk.
Not many sides will end up winning at Grimsby this season, so a great result.

Walsall goal had a charmed life in the 2nd half but if you don't take your chances, you don't win. Not for the 1st time, Adomah showed his class against us.

First game I’ve seen us win live in six months. Brilliant performance and it’s finally clicking. Byers is a Ferrari in midfield at this level. Fully deserved against a very good league two outfit and we didn’t really give them a sniff today. Big statement

Fantastic result to come back from a 2 nil deficit at a bogey team

Probably evens out after we stole a 2-1 in at our place when they absolutely battered us.

Saw most of the 2nd half. Very very flat performance. Lots of possession but no guile, don't think we tested Talented Mr Ripley once. Really poor. We need Madden back really fast with Griggs injury. I can see us seeing what strikers are in free agency

We looked an unhappy team with a back four , much happier with three at the back and two strikers second half.
Very early days but if we were bottom I'd be worried so will enjoy being top.
Gillingham next week will give us an idea of how good we really are I think.

Left the lounge in disgust when I saw we were behind after just 4 minutes and no surprise who scored. Walked back in from some failed DIY and it was 2-0. Bass with a shocker.

Then Jones and Crowley did the business, and our Gambian Prince comes on and changes the game. His goal per minute must be very impressive for a big man. He must be on a few clubs radars, hopefully not.

Nice to get a couple of deflected goals, wouldn't have been needed if they had watered the pitch just a little pre game.

Abbott looks class, we still overplay at the back and should be launching it on so many occasions. Gifting Bromley free kicks , corners and long throws far too often in that second half with too much mucking about.

McGoldrick who?

We found last season that if you've injuries to key players and not much cover its a very long time until the window opens.

Delighted we’ve finally won a home game and against what is a good team in Chesterfield even if they will feel they were below par today. Overall we deserved it though will admit I was bricking it when it showed up 9 minutes stoppage time. Asked for Byers pre-game to run the show in midfield and he delivered so that’s a huge tick in the box. All the best to Chesterfield.

Impressive performance first half and should have been at least another one up. Assume chesterfield had an off day, they looked technically good on the ball but a bit sloppy at the back and no real idea what their plan was going forwards, bit like us in the flat games so far this season.

Ref was a disgrace, believe it's the same clown who was chased across the pitch last year and he showed why, two sets of rules, pretty much played a second leg of injury time, was half expecting him try to get on the end of one of their corners.

Big win though, chizzy, stockley tolaj were all class

Not sure about your final statement. We were terrible 1st half in which we had to re arrange due to losing 2 cbs, conceded a penalty due to an extremely poor decision yet should have won the game in the 2nd half. We turned off for their winner which was nevertheless very well executed

I liked the look of Walsall tbh. I didn't see the pen as I was grabbing my Iceland shopping. Seen a few people saying it was very soft.

Anywho, like I said, I think a draw would have been deserved. We might have gone on to win if Oduor had not missed an open net.

Good win and back to back wins in the league. Hopefully go on a run now and cement ourselves in the top seven.

We were very good in the first 60 mins or so and should have gone two up. Chesterfield had the better of possession in the last half hour without ever threatening really.

Last season we’d have lost that game in the last 20 mins but today showed the difference between League One and Two. I can’t remember Chesterfield having a chance and we were pretty comfortable. They were reluctant to play it forward and cause us some problems, instead they played it side to side until we won the ball back.

Onward and upwards.

Good win from us, but not sure they’re a very good league two team.

They will get out battled by a lot of teams if they play like that. We out ran them, over powered them and had more quality.

They probably would have scored if they actually put the ball in our box.

Poor first half, but a soft penalty was a gift for Walsall and the lino seemed to struggle to keep up with play for a few potential offsides. Had enough opportunities to win second half comfortably, but it was a sketchy performance tbh which could have gone either way. We move on.

I'm seriously concerned this evening that we still haven't shaken our 'entertainers' tag from last season.

We just had a bad six minutes. Dominated the entire game for the next 84. Could do with making it a bit easier, but good character etc.
