Might as well start this

Whild has confirmed we are looking at Lee Hughes and Danny Wright. The former was at the game today and is apparently interested

Both good strikers like many others who seem to become useless when they sign for us (not their fault, it's a FGR thing). Wright has been excellent since he left us, still think Hughes is past it though. Even when he came on a a sub you could see him fading late in the game.

Hughes has an amazing amount of skill for a non-league player, good controller of the ball, proof that quality is permanent...even if the body slows down towards the end of a career. Sadly for Lee, I think the years are catching up on him, but I would wish him all the best if he does leave for Kiddy...except when he plays against Rovers!

Can imagine Kiddy is the only club Hughes could come to without there being loads of controversy. He is a club legend and if he could score goals then i'd be happy for him to join

We need a left winger and a central midfielder. Injuries, suspensions and lack of personal leave very short in this area. I's actually like us to get Hunt back from Cambridge.

With Carl Darlington here I wouldn't be surprised if we start to bring in players from the Welsh league.

Can't remember whether this was put TFF, but Bencherif is attracting interest from L1 and L2 Clubs along with Newton and Miller.

Not L1 I don't think, but he's spent most of his career in L2.

Hughes was at our game yesterday, saw him queuing up to get some grub. Would expect him to sign this week.

I wouldnt say no to Wright coming back normally, but we are crying out for a controlling midfielder.

Not really worked for Bencherif in the past has it, great player down here but not really mobile enough to make it higher up, still probably atleast L2 standard i would say.

He's almost certain to score against us on Saturday! Or Brown. Or Mendy. Or Tomlinson (again).

Agree r.e. Bencherif's mobility.

That's why he's gone to CB instead of playing in a midfield 3 after Simpson left. He was effectively a second striker and just got in the box all the time (hence 5 goals at the beginning of the season).

Brown won't score. For someone as tall as him he hardly gets his head on one, nevermind scores!

Mendy will always be a hero for this moment

Gutted we couldn't hold on that day!

Was standing right behind that shot and was in as soon as he hit it; will never forget it!

Brown won't score. For someone as tall as him he hardly gets his head on one, nevermind scores!

Just need him lurking round the edge of area and to be up against a very dodgy goalkeeper... (6 mins 50ish)

The Cullen rumours are getting a little stronger after Luton are due to sign Andy Johnson. Hopefully we'll find out today.

Don't think it matters who Luton are getting, Hurst said terms have been agreed with the club and it's down to the player to make a decision. Surely Luton themselves would be waiting for Johnson and wouldn't agree terms until he had.

I find it hard to believe we are signing a player who is still has 2 and half years on his contract, and is the top scorer for a side chasing promotion in lge 2.

Be delighted to be proved wrong, but can't see it.

Hughes, if used properly, is still capable of scoring a lot goals at this level. If he signs for Kiddy I expect him to do very well.

What happened to Keates and Harris? Everytime I watched you those two used to boss the midfield.

Sounds as though Charlee Adams will be extending his loan until the end of the season.

Good news. Big part of our good run since mid-November.

We're now signing a striker that's not Lee Hughes according to our forum. Apparently got 8 goals in the league this season a fair few in the conference last season my guess Cullen or maybe Danny Wright?

Great news if true, has there been anything official?

A few mumblings on LCB suggesting it'll be confirmed in the next few days (got another couple of weeks to run on the current loan).

Can't see it being Cullen. More likely to be Christian Jolley I think. Scored a few in this division and can play on the wing, which would add welcome competition. Hurst's words in the article regarding the signing were along the lines that the player is 'attack-minded', it didn't read as though he was an out-and-out striker. We'll see.
