What rule are you referring to here? Lots of players are loaned to more than one club.
I seemed to think there was a rule about playing for more than 2 clubs per season. He made a sub appearance for us in the league before being loaned to Burton where he has also played league minutes. Unless it’s been changed (very possibly) then he can’t go out on loan somewhere else I believe.

Whats the criteria here? League appearance, Cups, any senior appearance?

“Official matches” so I assume any first team fixture. Either way he has played in a league game for us and for Burton

In accordance with FIFA Regulations a Player may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during one season. During this period, the player is only eligible to play in official matches for two clubs.

Took the above from here which makes for very dry reading I must say!

Looks like we may be able to loan him to a non league club though as seems to be some exceptions there in the guidance section

Yep, it's the reason why Blackpool are the only club who can loan Josh Bowler from Forest.

Don't really get it myself.

I was aware of that rule, but didn’t think it applied to loan players (which now I think of it, my logic makes absolutely no sense at all).

Think it would’ve been brought in to protect clubs against a player signed twice in the same season after a burst of form.

Looks like Archer is going to Boro on loan. Can't blame him, PNE is a cesspit under these owners.

Rumours Riis has done his ACL too.

Elliott Anderson on loan from Newcastle & Marc Leonard (on loan at Northampton) on a permanent from Brighton are the current links.

Obviously there's Championship competition for both so might as well not bother.

Lowe has said we've no interest in Anderson.

In for two attacking players on loan though, Cannon is definitely one, no idea about the other.

There was an odd rumour about Ashley Barnes from Burnley. No idea where it came from.

We have been linked with Anderson for about the last 3 windows so I would have thought we would have an interest too.

Sounds like a loan deal for Tom Cannon from Everton is pretty much done.

Hopefully he has a better spell here than Anthony Gordon if he comes.

Linked to Charlie McNeil on loan from United, in addition to Cannon. We need two strikers, minimum, as Riis will probably miss the rest of the season. Leaves us with just 34yr old Ched Evans.

Troy Parrott should be back from injury soon but he's definitely not a striker.

Huge summer, our c*nt owners are only interested in short term deals until they can sell up. Bare minimum everything, from catering to merchandise. We have about 12 contracted senior players for next season.

Tom Cannon confirmed.

Reading his interview, someone has lied and told him we create chances.

Apparently you turned him down last January before we signed him. Saved yourself getting dicked in the Prem every week with that decision

There's talk of an attacking mid, wonder if we'll go back in for Zidane Iqbal after his 'work experience' here last season.

Liam Delap has had his loan at Stoke cut short. I'd definitely take him even though he hasn't pulled up trees there, has all the attributes, just needs to click for him.

Norwich at home on Saturday.

Brady came off the bench in the cup so is back in contention. Evans is hopefully available, and I'd throw Cannon straight into the eleven. No news on Parrott but he must be close.

My team would be:

Woodman
Diaby, Lindsay, Hughes
Whiteman
Browne, Brady, DJ, Fernandez
Cannon, Evans
Although I think Lowe will probably play another defensive-minded midfielder like Ledson or McCann.

Perhaps but we signed Robert Snodgrass instead which is what we needed really, bit of an experienced head with championship experience on the cv and a good character in the dressing room. The rest of the team had never been in the position we were in so I understand the decision even if Anderson turned out to be a wonderful player for you.

Ched is out until Feb with a hamstring injury I’ve heard

3 goals in 21apps The lad would be better going down a league or two.....good luck to him

Though i think we are letting better players go, so doubt he is a good fit for us

Called it. I'm happy with Delap, plenty of pace and power, hopefully it can click for him in front of goal with regular starts.

Could you be one of the two Championship clubs who have had bids accepted for Dapo
Can't see us spending any money during this window, and not on a winger considering we don't use them. Would be a weird signing if we were.

Few murmurings around James Bree being wanted by Southampton. Livramento had a set back in his return from an ACL so will be out so they are looking for a decent fill in there i assume to the end of the season from the sounds of it.

Would be a bit glib and say hope they were watching his performance in the cup last week as I thought his body had been temporarily possessed by the ghost of Stephen O'Donnell, but Jones will know all about him and pretty much got him to the level he is at now after an inconsistent at best start to life here under Graeme Jones.

Deserves his one year extension, hope this injury doesn't disrupt his form.

Even if he only starts around 20 games a season, he's obviously just great to have around the place, especially when the rest of our strike force are so young.

I'd be shocked if he doesn't go into coaching/ management.
