With this comment........On May 25th 2021 Onyedinma signed for Luton Town for a reported fee of £2.5 Million as well as a new leather jacket and cowboy boots for Wycombe manage Ainsworth.

I don’t think there’s a lot of difference in ability. But hopefully Onyedinma can last 90 minutes unlike George.

Interesting one, feels like that is Moncur/LuaLua probably gone.

Wycombe fans seem genuinely disappointed at him going which is a good sign. I have to say in games against us I don’t recall him standing out but it’s the right type of player for us to be looking at in terms of age/athleticism.

He certainly stood out in L1 but played the full season with Wycombe weighing in with a few goals. Another Jordan Clark type signing but probably plays a bit more advanced.

Also, the club have raised £250k so far from fans who have decided to pay the full amount for a season ticket. Great response that.

What's Luke Berry up to these days? Can't see anywhere confirmed if he got a deal or released?

You can’t find anything because we haven’t released the list yet. He signed a new deal last summer of undisclosed length; I can’t imagine he would only accept a 1 year deal.

We never released the length of his deal last season so depending on your source and where you read it was just 1 year or 1 year with an option for us to take or 2 years. In some lists I’ve seen he is considered out of contract, others not so. We’ve also not released a retained list as yet as a few players are still making decisions so to your question, no one knows!

To be honest if he is under contract it wouldnt surprise me if he was one a deal with another club could be made on. He’s not going to be a first choice next season and we will be looking to strengthen that area this summer and he didn’t feature as much toward the end of the season. We saw Andrew Shinnie going out on loan in his last year of his deal last season, effectively leaving us in the process, could see something like that happening.

Luton have also seemingly made an offer to Leicester City to take Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall back on a permanent basis.

That really does give me a boner...

Offer is just a show im sure. Id be disappointed in him if he came back and didn't think he could push for the first team squad spot as a backup or at worst with (all but ) one of the promoted sides or lower end Prem sides

Yeah we were taking about “lack of ambition” with Bradley potentially going to Ipswich. Dewsbury-Hall could legitimately push for a role at Leicester next season or at worst go for a side looking to go back up, West Brom seems well suited in that respect but I’d imagine there are others of that sort after him. Not to do us down, we’ve got plans and a vision for ourselves but he’s a level above where we are at at this moment.

Id absolutely love him back but it just doesn’t seem realistic either financially or for what he will be looking for next season

Onyedinma is a potentially very good signing I'd say.

We were playing him at wing back by the end of his time with us where he did very well.

I'm not gutted, as I remember a lot of games where he was fairly anonymous, but on his day he can definitely change a game and produce moments of real quality.

It's one where I think you'll either find the right role for him and he'll do really well, or he won't quite fit in and you'll be looking to shunt him out on loan by Christmas.

I imagine he will replace LuaLua in the little group of wide players we have, that being Cornick, Clark, Onyedinma and Pereira who seems to be rated well.

It’s hardly an apples for apples example. WBA are on zero points just like us now in the same division next season, whereas Bradley would’ve jacked in the captaincy for a club that has not even made the play offs in the league below for two seasons.
With them in the Europa League, he will get a lot more playing opportunities I guess.

Luton, Preston, 'Boro and Millwall interested in Luke O'Nien from Sunderland apparently.

If that's from Peter O'Rourke then you can wipe your ass with it.

He has been pretty accurate with stuff from us historically although less so of late I’ve noticed.

We were linked with O’nien in the summer he went to Sunderland. He was a midfield player then but has played mainly right back and centre half since for Sunderland so am no longer sure what his best position is! Am unsure if he’s better than what we have.

For what it's worth, I think he'd be worth a look at, probably the only Sunderland player that is.

Couldn’t tell you to be honest.

I’m sure he’s probably got plenty wrong on us before but can just remember a few recent ones being right.

To be fair, throwing out a heap of Championship clubs being interested in one of Sunderland’s better players who is out of contract probably isn’t that bold.

Sonny Bradley and Dan Potts both signed new contracts of unannounced lengths.

Bradley we’ve spoken a decent amount about and am pleased he will remain. Potts is a good option to have as a left back and fill in left sided centre half but would hope he isn’t anything more than a squad player to be honest.

Still no overall release/retained list announced, and still plenty of players whose futures aren’t clear

I hope we sign/develop others to push both of these. Bradley has improved his positional play and for me now needs to consolidate that and his distribution/ ball control a little more. And please........take some free lessons from Mick on winning headers esp from our set pieces. He rarely seems to get on the end of balls with any sort of accuracy, even when he peels off at the back post - which everyone now knows about. His goals target should be six or seven not one or two.

This is going to be a busy window for us, but I think for most it’s going to be a real transitional window. A lot of players at all levels look to be out of contract because of the pandemic.

Omar Richards signs for Bayern Munich from Reading.

Really impressed by him whenever i've seen him but didn't expect a move like that.

Sounds like Louis Moult will go back to Motherwell, good luck to him, really nice guy but with the injuries he had here, I can only see early retirement for him.

Actually a pretty handy striker when he managed to get on the pitch, nothing amazing but if he played regularly i'd have expected him to hit double figures.
