Looks like we're interested in Lewis Wing who has fallen out of favour at Boro, as well as Whiteman.

Ched Evans on a 6 month deal also seems like it has legs, supposedly in for talks this week.

Not sure how much he brings to the table at 32 but his Fleetwood record is good and we've been two strikers down all season, Moult injured & Nugent unregistered. As a cheap bench option, I can see the logic.

Was about to post this just now, that journo is meant to be very reliable.

He has the most interceptions in England this season, so sounds like he'd be an ideal Pearo replacement.

I'd be annoyed if Pearson goes to another club in this division but can't really begrudge anyone a change of scenery and more money. I do think his injuries have become a massive concern but i'd still jizz if he signed an extension. Seen Brentford linked and Stoke have always been keen.

We've got two redundant strikers in Moult (injured) & Nugent (Unregistered) so I just see him as a cheap bench option.
As for his past, he was acquitted, so who am I to say the club can't sign him.

I'd imagine its just a deal that would see him at Watford next season but who knows, he's had Bundesliga clubs looking at him too, plus Celtic. Bournemouth had a bid rejected in the summer and Sheff Utd want him but won't stump up the cash. Brighton & Newcastle have been linked in the past too.

He’s actually a free agent having been released by Villa so he could have been signed by now by someone regardless of the window. Feels like an agent putting his name out there to me, given the long list of clubs who are also apparently interested.

We had him on trial for a couple of weeks in late December but seemingly decided not to give a contract to him.

NJ confirmed that the rumour is rubbish in his press conference today so that’s that. Definitely an agent getting someone’s name out seemingly.

We were also linked with a striker from Scotland which he also rubbished. Think it’s likely to be fairly quiet window for us as bar perhaps a new forward player I don’t think we need to add numbers anywhere and I doubt we have the funds to add players at the level who would improve us.

With McGovern out for most if not all of the rest of the season, we're reportedly trying to sign former Aston Villa keeper Nyland as a new second choice behind Krul. From a cursory look at the list of free agent goalkeepers we could realistically afford, I get the impression that he's probably the best option for our purposes.

You're forgetting the rule - never listen to a Nathan Jones press conference when mentioning transfers. He's a bigger liar than Boris.

Yeah that was a bit weird, practically gushing over him.

Walton was one of “his” players, in that group of ex Brighton/Charlton youth and reserve players where he learned his trade and he has a bit of a soft spot for a lot them. I remember he used to gush over Joe Pigott who was putting in pretty terrible performances while here (who to be fair to him seems to have turned it around).
