Kioso any good Luton fans?

We haven’t seen a great deal of him to be honest, rarely got a look in last season and only started one game, Man United in the cup where he played very well and got man of the match. Seems to have done very well at Bolton where the feedback seems to have been good going forward but perhaps not so great defensively, which is interesting as I think it was the opposite that was said about him when coming from Hartlepool!

I don’t think we should be loaning him out again given we are now short in the fullback area having lost a loanee of our own, albeit a left back and he is a right back, but the rumours he is going to yourselves seem to abound. If it is to happen I would think it would be later in the window when we have had a look at him and brought in someone ourselves in that area.

Quite a telling press conference today from Jones. Pretty much saying that Galloway is surplus to requirements.

Kioso is raw and green, but got great potential. He is Pelly about 4-5 years ago. A bit headless at times but clearly very talented.

Might be being harsh on the guy and admittedly it was only a handful of game, but I thought he looked pretty poor pre injury when I saw him. Had I think one decentish sub appearance but that’s about, I can’t imagine 14 months out would help him.

He seemed a bit more bullish about bringing a few in today from the snippets I’ve read.

Think that would be a pretty good signing for us, just left Wigan so no fee involved. Good experience and a key part of the Wigan side who were really going great at the end of the season prior to the whole situation that enveloped them.

Plays quite literally all over the park so flexibility which we probably need, feels like we end up changing shape multiple times a game these days.

We're apparently about to sign Greek left back Dimitris Giannoulis on loan for the rest of the season, with an obligation to buy in the summer should we be promoted. Seems a curious one when we've also got Quintilla on loan in that position with a similar obligation,, though he has spent a lot of the season injured so far.

We're also being linked with a move for Coventry's Gustavo Hamer.

Kyle Vassell allowed to go to Fleetwood, he is out of contract in the summer so makes sense for all parties.

He never really pulled any trees up here but he could buy a free kick so we'll miss that lol.

Rudd & Bauer are out for the season so have been removed from the squad.
Moult still appears to be fucked so I think he's been removed too, gone in the summer.

Stockley linked with Sunderland, either loan or permanently.
Harrop linked with Ipswich on loan.
Nugent free to anyone and not part of the squad, linked with Burton in the past.
Bodin out of contract in the summer but i'm guessing he's still injured and we're stuck with him.

Pearson & Johnson have technically been replaced for the rest of the season at least, so you would expect them to leave this window, or sign a pre-contract in Scotland.

Davies a bit different as we're short at centre back, think it would take a decent offer to sign him this month, even though he only has six months left.

Still no news on Darnell Fisher, we'd be mad to let him go but seems the club aren't in a rush to extend because of his discipline. I think he'll get a deal.

3 loans and one permanent in so far.

Big upheaval at Deepdale.

Where is the Hamer link from? We've only heard Rangers are taking a look at him at our end. I can't see him staying past the summer but hopefully we get a good fee for him. Left back business is odd as well, you lot must really not rate McCallum.

As for us, we've just signed Viktor Gyökeres on loan from Brighton for the rest of the season. Swansea fans very happy to see the back of him which isn't the most encouraging sign, but looks like he barely played for them so hopefully will get a chance here. Helps that we've also got his mate Leo Ostigard on loan from Brighton as well. They played together for St. Pauli last season so that should help him settle in a bit.

Final thing on Norrington-Davies - after Jones interview after the game it is pretty obvious that Norrington-Davies and Jones had a bit of a falling out and he forced a move away, had a proper rant about it after the game today on local radio today.

I see he played for Stoke today, who didnt play his preferred 433 ironically.

Couple of those “rumour” sites linking us, and the other usual suspects (Brentford, Reading) with Scott Twine.

Same place also linking Sonny Bradley with Preston - who I think are looking for a centre half with Bauer out SF_ ?

Any Cardiff fans on here?

Max Watters signs for them from Crawley for our usual undisclosed fee.

He is quick, strong and tends to get his shots on target. The other thing is that defenders tend to have brain farts when he is around.

Will he be good enough for the Chapionship?

He is quicker and stronger but he reminds me of James Collins. He aint going to light up the world with sublime bits of skill in the middle of the pitch but he can score goals.

Casey

Ps. He aint fit. He didn't have any preseason. We signed him in September after he had been having trials with numerous non league clubs and because of that he has had to be nursed through games and was often subbed on or off in games.

Seen bits and pieces of him and this was exactly my thought too. Cardiff have a great recent record with strikers too... not.

On Scott Twine, another midfielder, but looks like he wants to have his own goal of the season competition:

...plus the screamer v Ipswich last weekend which was the best of the lot:

It’s a big big jump from League 1 to this level let alone straight in from league 2 after a good half season. I’ve seen bits and pieces and the Collins description seems very apt to me and Collins has his detractors still.

Surprised he has gone to Cardiff, they have a specific, very direct style of play that I don’t think will suit him.

Sonny Bradley seems an odd link, purely on age, no idea if he's any good or not.

By the way, I saw Scott Twine play for Newport at Xmas.

No idea why Swindon loaned him out. Obviously better than league 2 but as you said its a big jump from there to the championship.

Oh; Sonny Bradley. Another ex Red doing OK. I honestly didn't think he would make championship level. Never rubbish but I would have said its a bit beyond him.

Struggled a bit especially early last year but he grew into the level and is now very solid and dependable.

Left footed and decent with the ball at his feet as well too. A very important player for us.

Ah, the link begins to make sense then but Alan Nixon's info on PNE is shite.

Looks like Sonny Bradley will sign for Preston.

Having lost his dad to Covid in the last couple of months, I certainly couldn’t begrudge him a trip back up north if that’s the reason (although still the wrong side of the north). I certainty couldn’t have done what he did so quickly after using a close family member like that. He has a history of running down contracts, like at Plymouth which is how we got him.

He has been a good captain and whilst it’s certainly a blow... our tight defence has been critical to our position in the league table, I certainly don’t think it’s terminal as long as we get a good fee (£500k and above) and a more than adequate replacement in the short term.

Where are you hearing its close? think i've seen some reports denying it, with PNE, they certainly won't be paying over £500k for someone with 6 months left, I imagine we would rather wait till the summer if we're interested.

Preston to Hull is a complete ball ache so he's not very clever if location is part of his reasoning. Probably about 45 minutes quicker than driving from Luton, on a good day.

Loan signing of left back Dimitris Giannoulis from PAOK confirmed, with him here until the end of the season with an obligation to buy for an undisclosed fee (rumours suggesting around £7.5 million) should we be promoted back to the Premier League at the end of the season.

Looks like we'll be recalling Sebastian Soto from his loan with Dutch side Telstar as we're confident his recent appearances for the US national team will be enough for him to finally earn a work permit.

That would presumably mean that either Soto or Omotoye will go out on loan for the second half of the season, as both would be third/fourth choice when Idah returns from injury (depending on if Farke utilises him as the striker or instead as a winger, as he did a couple of times earlier this season).

I see Stoke have signed Alfie Doughty who was one of the left sided players we were linked with back in the summer and again when we lost RND so they will be well stocked there now. Currently injured but well rated.

Wigan’s administrators also put out a statement which among other things stated they had turned down a bid from a Championship club for Tom Pearce who is a left back. Suspect that could be us.

Pearson, Davies and Johnson surprisingly still here.

I think there is very little spare cash in English football right now and other clubs might be struggling to match the £17/£18k a week we've put on the table for them. I'm sure Pearson will move on for a new challenge but i'm not convinced the other two will definitely go yet.

The fact we haven't signed another centre back yet might mean the club think they can persuade Davies to extend.

Neil seems quite positive with the way the club is going in terms of the squad rebuild, reckon he will be very keen to bring in Molumby permanently, speaks very highly of him.
