They're far bigger than anyone in this league and on parachute payments, I won't begrudge him the move if he does go.

Anyway, he's not going anywhere yet. We've rejected the bid.

Like Taylor will be leaving for Oxford shortly. He signed a 1 year contract extension just so Rovers got a little bit of cash.
Still, thats nothing compared to your apparent billionaire owner who has been missing since his walkabout up Gloucester rd on your final day

If he can bag 15-20 a season for 2 or 3 years on the bounce I think he'll be worth it.

Trouble is we see so many players have 1 really good season and then they're shit the following one. Consistency is what separates a lot of players in this league, and if they can consistently bag 15-20+ a season, they should probably be playing in the league above.

Wouldn't want Wednesday pspending 10M on Kodjia to be honest, not when you can get players like Hooper and Forestieri for £6M combined, but it's all down to how much City value him and as it stands he's their only top 6 standard striker.

That's the point of our policy though, find players cheaply, develop 'em and get big money for them. I read Villa were interested in Forestieri a few weeks back, think how much you'd hold out for now, after only having got him last summer for £3m!

Couldn't see us selling for anything less than 12M which he is obviously worth every penny of.

The Marshall to Hull rumours still doing the rounds down here as well. £6 million fee which is quite frankly embarrassing. The prices players go for nowadays it should be at least double that.

Lets put this into perspective, Charlie Austin left QPR for £4m after a year of scoring fairly regularly in the premier league and started well in this division and the yokels want ''high end 7 figures'' for Kodija.

Priceless.

Yes, why not? We don't want to sell him, he's under contract and our owner can afford to turn less down plus the fees being bandied around this summer are obscene. What would Grey be worth this summer or any of the other top scorers in this league?
Much as you would like us to bend over to the big clubs, maybe, just maybe we won't. Just because we're not one of the big teams it doesn't mean we have to sell cheaply, ask Peterborough.

Priceless.

Yet you think Clarke-Harris is worth 4/5m

Only reason Austin went for that price is because his contract was up in the summer and that was QPR's last chance to cash in. That's common knowledge.

He had six months left on his contract, would've left for nothing this summer.

We will get high end 7 figures for Kodjia at the very least, probably 8 figures. Like Aaron said, you've been known to value JCH at £4m, so wind your neck in a little.

We all know the barometer for the best championship strikers is circa £10m so you work your way down from that.

It's not though. Fulham want £15m for McCormack. He's 29 for fuck sake.

Well I can't see them getting it. 11m from us and I don't see why he'd be worth anymore since leaving us?

You can ask for what you like but I see 10m as the top sort of price people will pay in this league tbh.

That's not a bad thing though. We can stick any price we like on Kodjia's head, it's not like we'll be left in September wanting rid of him. It's a win-win situation. Same for McCormack and Fulham. If your club don't need to sell you hold all the power in the market.

LJ: "There has been no bid for Jonathan Kodjia. And nor would we welcome one."

That's the end of that then.

No way is Kodija worth more than Gray was last year. You'll get something like £6m with some add ons.

Absolutely no way will we be selling JK for that, no chance!
Suits us to be fair as we don't want to lose him.

Think the best strikers in this league in recent years have been

Chris Martin
Benik Afobe
Jordan Rhodes
Andre Gray
Ross McCormack
Troy Deeney (when he was down here)

All are roughly in the 10m bracket. No offense to Brizzle fans but I wouldn't class Kodija amongst such company. As I said if he can score 20+ again next season then maybe he is up there with the best in the league.
