We have had just under 2m rejected from Blackburn for Ben Marshall, although his contract expires in the summer.

We've also been rejected from Villa to loan Ross McCormack, as they will only let him go on a permanent deal.

I reckon you might have some competition if that's the deal. We were heavily linked in the summer, at a higher price, but the lad chose Norwich. It would be a surprise if we didn't have a go again TBH.

Wouldn't surprise me either, but he seems to want to come back to a familiar place where he knows he'll get minutes in a system that suits him. He's liked a lot of tweets fans have been sending him asking him to come back since the story came out.

Haha - well I wouldn't count you guys out at all if you do bid for him, the reason he turned us down was we wouldn't offer him the wages he wanted (seems Norwich might now be willing to make up the difference to get him off the books).

It's a shame for him that the Murphys have done so well this season and jumped ahead of him in the pecking order.

Lansbury - Player keen but Forest not keen on selling to us, sounds like we'll have to offer much more than our rivals are offering to even have a chance. Fair play.
Julien De Sart - CDM from Boro, had a medical last night and should complete a loan move until the end of the season.
Omar Bogle - Rumours we're interested for Grimsby player but nothing else yet.
Chris Martin - talks still ongoing. Despite Fulham saying he's going no where they are due to pay us another seven figure loan payment this month so watch this space, might not be as clear cut as they're making out.

It's the fourth of January and Omar Bogle has already been linked with almost every club in the division..

Two big rumours on our end today, Warren Joyce is trying to get Ravel Morrison in on a deal until the end of the season, would substantiate the rumour that he was training with us a few weeks ago. To be honest we've got nothing to lose and he'd be cheap so I've not got a problem with this, although with him, Powell and Gomez we would be contenders for the laziest midfield in the football league.

On the other side, we've turned down a bid from another Championship club (rumoured to be Brentford) for Max Power as we want more money. Personally I'd be delighted if we sell him for a good fee. Perfect example of a League One superstar found wanting at this level. Good for the dressing room and a passionate player/character, but hasn't cut the mustard on the pitch for me, so if we can make a good profit on him it'd be great business.
