They'll look stupid if they don't sell him now though. 18 months left on his contract, his value will only drop.

we have been watching Maxim from Stuttgart according to a few reports

not sure we need another midfielder, unless the Hernandez deal Is off, it's worrying how quiet it is on that, his loan has ended I think

I doubt anyone could buy Tammy for less than £20M in all seriousness. Utter madness as you said but probably true.

Tammy going to be worth £££

Just hope he doesn't go the way of the other one who went to boro

Think Conte may keep him around next season, seems it was hard enough to pry him away this season.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him somewhere like Watford or Palace next season TBH. Local to London, in the Prem and easy to keep an eye on for Chelsea. Wherever he ends up, i wish the kid well.

Some rumours we've now accepted £12m from West Ham, rising to £15m with add ons, a sell on fee and Ashley Fletcher on a loan till the end of the year.

I don't think it's true, but if it is then that's a very very good deal.

Was also a good reminder on one of our forums earlier that we signed Hogan and Gray for c.£1.5m combined, and potentially will have sold them for a combined £25m!

Phenomenal business. Our ownership certainly know what they are doing.

Those Bristol City signings look impressive on paper for this league. The calibre of players joining this division has improved so much in recent years.

You spend a season or two out of this division, as we did, and the change in quality is really noticeable, pretty much a Prem 2 nowadays. It's a very rich division as well IMO.
Personally, I think the step up is very difficult, certainly more so than it used to be.

The quality of players is definitely much higher, but I've been surprised at how many teams just don't seem to have a game plan, or any discernible tactics. Arguably the players might be worse in League 1 but I seem to remember the teams being better at getting the best out of them.

I'm speaking in general terms, there are usually 7-10 teams in this division who play some really great football and win the tactical battle, but I look at a lot of team sheets thinking how great some of the players are on the opposition team, and they are just being wasted.

I would have rated us before this season as one of those teams who really knew how to open up the opposition, I think it's something we've lost a bit this year, partly as we have no threat down the wings. Too often I feel we need luck to score a goal rather than believing the players know how to create the chances together.

I saw you against Birmingham on Saturday and thought you were very good going forward. Your passing and movement was excellent.

You were less impressive against us though, although both teams were poor that night.

Another signing imminent for us, hopefully it's Bailey Wright.

In other Championship news Reading have made a £3.5m bid for a Liverpool youth defender(?), not bad for a club who're skint.....

Not Wright, the signing is British. Rumour has it that Wright's off to Boro, makes more sense.

Johnstone done until the end of the season, rumours of a first refusal £2million buy fee attached too.

Enes Mahmutovic is on trial (no, I don't know who the fuck he is either, 19 year old Luxembourg international defender for what it's worth).

We've made an enquiry about Guessouma Fofana (again, no, I've not heard of him, plays for Amiens apparently).

David Davis linked from Brum. We do need a couple more centre mids in the squad. Been playing defenders there the last couple of games.

And yet your midfield still easily dealt with our apparent 'midfielders' in Gardner and Westwood... Do you want either of them?

Bradley Garmston.

Can't believe you'd go for him, he's lightening quick but I'm better technically. You're probably after the other Bradley we have :hypo:

I was surprised by how easily we controlled the midfield, it's been a weakness of ours for years. Saying that though I think most players would be a bit put off if they had Gunnarson and Bamba chasing them everywhere wanting blood.
